I was talking to my next door neighbour of 44 years Sunday and he asked me a question that kind of got me thinking. To be clear he is black man with a family whose roots go back Nova Scotia dating back 3-4 generations We bought our houses within 4 months of each other. Our wives were both Nurses now retired our kids went to the same schools,played minor sports together and against each other for years. We entertain each other all the time and have gone on vacations together. We are now both grandparents.
The question was since the summer demonstrations,the BLM movement George Floyd etc had I noticed a marked increase in tv commercials either featuring an all black family,a mixed race family one being black, a single black person etc. I thought about it and said that actually I had although much more on Canadian stations. Has anyone else noticed this? I think its great IMO. The world isnt lily white.
