TV Remote

So the remote for my combination TV/VCR bit the dust. It's a White/Westinhouse 13". Anyone have any Idea where I can get a new one for it?
I've checked Source and a Radio Shack, (even tho I thought they were the same now) Nobody seems to know if a Universal remote will work with a combination set. Any Ideas. Thanks

One more question, Is it possible that the infrared recepter on the TV is shot, can it be fixed if it is?

It would likely cost more to fix then for a new TV at walmart.
