Two questions

1.Just got a new system.Vista Home edition is loaded on it.It will not allow me to use my file sharing program on it(ARES).Basically as long as i have ARES software on here IE will not open.coincidence? or is this file sharing deterrent?
2.Wireless Technology.Is your IP roving? or stationary?....a friend said you can actually change your IP on a stationary PC.I did not think that was possible?.....

Can't answer your Vista question but I bet dollars to donuts that's the problem. Vista is all about security and file sharing I guess is considered a breach. Have you tried uninstalling ARES???

As for your IP question. It depends on how your ISP has it set up. When I was using Look it was a dynamic IP and would change whenever I signed on or "released" it. Now I'm with rogers and it seems to be a static IP as the same number was used the couple of times I checked.
