PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (AP) -- The U.S. Mint seized 10 Double Eagle gold coins from 1933, among the rarest and most valuable coins in the world, that were turned in by a jeweler seeking to determine their authenticity.

I also get mine from a local dealer who has the inventory on hand.

I'm not a mail order shopper...that's for people in small towns.

How can the Feds just take them....what about the "statue of limitations"????

Oh...right...it's the government. The same government who'll probably melt them down (for $437 per ounce) rather than sell them on the open market (over $70 million for all ten coins).

I hope the family sues!!!!!

I think that with a new know population of at least 11 pieces, should the coins be available on the open market, the price would not stay at $7,000,000. per coin.
