I'm now convinced. Hockey Canada is run by a bunch of pinheads.
No "professional" 1972 Summit-Series repeat but it will be an under-20 series as we all know.
The first four games will be played in Russia on August 27/29 in Ufa and August 31/September 1 in Omsk. Ufa and Omsk are in bloody Siberia. Yes it is true, S-I-B-E-R-I-A. Retarded. What happened to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, or Smolensk? You know actual Russian cities we have heard of in life. Pathetic.
Even more pathetic is that the Canadian legs will be played September 4 in Winnipeg, September 5 in Saskatoon, September 7 in Red Deer, and September 9 in Vancouver. Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Red Deer? Are you fucking kidding me? Is this Canada U-20 going to be a western all-star team? Other than Vancouver - What the hell happened to Montreal? Ottawa? Toronto? Calgary? Edmonton? Just because they are juniors doesn't mean they have to play in "junior" towns.
Saskatoon? Saska-fucking-toon?
Pinheads I say. Pinheads.
Give me a break.
