Didn't vote because I couldn't. Never have and never would. Right now it's only or.

Pssst, it can be a totally anonymous, but if a TERBIE wants to add something, go for it. Paranoia suits you well, not.

Considering the earlier thread with a union/non union bend to it and the results seem to be showing members support action against the drivers, in the face of general union positions, but a 4:1 ratio, where the country average is ~30/35% unionized, it appears that the BB membership not typical. I thought it would be a good thing to find out more about the union support on this BB. Again it's a secret poll.

was almost taken into a union that was owned by the company. never seen 3 union reps be so pro company it was gross. i am not pro or anti union, to me it doesn't matter but the purpose of the union is to stick up for the employee's, not the company. i watched these guys for over their "brothers" daily.

Does anybody not think that?
I suspect Blackrock was likely raised as a Boy Scout, had lifelong aspirations of becoming a Police or Military official of some sort, but finds himself playin out his life as a security guard in some non-descript suburban warehouse complex.;)

I am a steelworker and proud of it.I am not an activist, but believe workers need to be 1 voice when dealing with big companies.I have seen our union do some great things and other times I just shake my head at the things they do and say.I have a comfortable living thanks to the union.
I don't want to ramble on,but I hate when companies say and think that employess don't deserve to be paid well. Not sure what makes them(management)think they are so special. We have had 3 union guys killed on the job in the last 6 months throughout their Canadian operations. Most of management never have had dirt on their hands, and would never dare think of getting dirty. I guess when your 3,000 feet under ground you shouldn't be compensated for putting your life on the line everytime you go down the shaft elevator.
Again sorry for rambling.

Unions are 100% necessary. They are an unholy pain in the ass but.......

I am a small business owner and without the local ISO on my heels I will admit that I would take advantage of my employees. All business owners would because it would save money. Period. Anyone tells you different and they are either lying through their teeth or trying to sell you something.
