There was some speculation whether or not the victim owned a spa or a "spa" and while that isn't clear it has been confirmed that she used to work at a body rub, Asia Studios:

So some of you likely know her better than you think.Until April, she worked as a licensed body rubber at Asia Studios, one of the city’s 25 body rub parlours, near Warden Ave. and Sheppard Ave. E.
“Her life was good enough that she opened her own business,” said Bei-Bei Ni, who owns Asia Studios. “Of course we’re all sad . . . she was a nice, normal person. She wasn’t a whacko.”
