Sorry, when the September That Never Ended...err...didn't end, Usenet ceased to exist. Nothing for you to see here, please move along.
Imposible, are you saying usenets don't exist anymore?
There are programs to download all the pics from different groups.
There is a manual one and automatic ones.
The automatics one are usenet robots. use a search engine or go to:
tucows.com
cnet.com
download.com
pcworld.com
And read their insturctions or else YOUR computer is going to be busy for 24 hours.
NewsBin Pro downloads and decodes binary file attachments to Usenet posts. NewsBin uses multiple connections across multiple servers to maximize your available bandwidth. It automatically combines multipart binary posts to create one file and includes many options for managing and organizing your downloads.
newsbin.com
I don't think there are any freeware just shareware and it's expiry dates. The freeware are manulally done by group and it is a pain in the asss. When I first started I had to manuallly decode each file. waste of time.

What’s a Usenet Reader?
A Usenet reader is the tool required to access, download, read and organize Usenet messages. There are many Usenet readers or newsreaders available. Some of the better ones include News Rover, NewsBin Pro, and News Pro.
A Usenet reader is a software program that is specially designed for reading newsgroups on Usenet. You can actually use your email client or web browser to access newsgroups, but a Usenet reader is much easier to use because it is designed for Usenet.
When large files are posted to Usenet, say a movie or a computer game, it is broken down into smaller parts. A Usenet reader or newsreader is specially designed to locate all of these separate parts and to download them so that you end up with the complete file on your hard drive.
Another advantage of using a Usenet reader is that you can simultaneously scan more than one server to find the file of your choice. This also helps you download your files faster.
Is there any other way to access Usenet?
Yes, there is. When you sign up for a Usenet account you also get Web Gateway access for free. The Web Gateway is really just like a search engine only that it is connected to over 120,000 newsgroups and serves as a very basic Usenet reader or newsreader.
The Web Gateway is the perfect tool for new Usenet users. It’s great for viewing text articles or downloading photos and music. But if you are interested in downloading movies, software and games the newsreader is more appropriate. And it’s free.
