These days a $40 webcam produces very good quality pics and doesn't drain your batteries.

If so, how?

I use a video capture device then I connect that AVI cables into the capture device and then I will go to the webcam software or webcam site and select the video capture device. and DONE !

It also works with a tv tuner, most dazzle products and some computers have that video capture card built in.

For softwars that take pictures I use the camera itself I have a JVC-290 . or I will use splitcamera or manycam or fwink.
