Vista Update Problem

I seem to have a problem with an update from Vista and I do not know which one. Every time I get it it screws the hell up of my wireless connection. I removed the last update and it seems to have cleared up the problem and now I have set the computer to ask me before installing the update. Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks

Could you be more specific with the wireless connection problem? e.g. Error message, symptoms.

I have had similar problem twice now - first time - removing windows update corrected problem - and then working with Microsoft suuport over 2-3 weeks solved the problem in Norton ... this time (last week) rolling back updates did not solve problem, system restore fails, and the fix in Norton did not work either - basicallym, symptom is an IE that cannot be directed to go anywhere - internet destination, router - no where - just "cannot display webpage" error - the internet connection is there - active - other programs like Norton can continue - but IE simply doesnt function - puter is now in the shop to see if some techie can figure it out - will post with results when I know

That is exactly the problem I had with my laptop and discussed in thread https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=164154.

IE can`t get any pages, not even router page. Windows update works, Firefox works.

I finally solved the problem by reinstalling Vista from factory restore disk. I then applied all Vista upgrades and it still works fine.

I had read your thread but my problem is also with Firefox. The computer shows that I hav connection, no error messages, just cannpt connect anywhere. I try IE and that also does not work. I have retored, that worked. Then I have now removed the last downloaded upgrade and that has worked, at least so far. The problem will recur I am sure, as I do not know which upgrade has caused the problem and why.

Does windows update work, when IE is not working? Mine did.

I am suspicious of Norton firewall. Another terbite suggested firewall problems. And when, After I restore the computer to factory state and updated everything, I installed all Vista updates, and all Norton updates except the firewall updates.
