I am looking for a voip provider not vonage becuase they are being sued by verizon.

I need to be able to have 2 lines nunber portability for both of them. from rogers to the next voip provider and vonage to the voip provider.

I tired primus but they claim they do not switch from vonage to primus for some reason. I don't what crap they are talking about.

I am in the proccess of moving not sure where I am moving to but I don't want to worry about losing my phone numbers in the move.

I also spoke with Primus about switching my Vonage phone number to them and they also told me that they couldn't do this. However, this was when I called them about 1 year ago. Local Number Portability is supposed to be available in Canada so I'm wondering why Primus can't do the switch.

At the time, I told them that my Vonage number was actually originally a Bell number and they told me that it didn't make a difference.

I'm interested in gettting out of Vonage for the same reason (because of the unsure future). The VOIP that I was thinking about going with is: http://www.voicenex.com/ca/index.shtml but they also don't do number portability at all.

I like VoiceNex VOIP because there are countries that I would be able to call for free with the $39.99+taxes option. With Vonage, I am currently paying the same for unlimited US/Canada package. Vonage added some European countries but I don't generally call the countries that they are offering for "free" with their unlimited US/Canada package. VoiceNex's "international" plan offers unlimited Canada/US and some of the other countries that I would actually call.

Well I will be switcing in the next month or 2 I found on my annoying search a few companies out there www.voicecoo.com seems pretty good my family uses thier internet service pathcom.com and there is babytel.com they have a softphone. and also www.voipgo.com they use the same softphone feature.

and with voipgo if you buy your own voip adapter you can still use thier service, i am not sure about the others I have not yet called them.

and voicecool.com has number portablitiy. even for vonage. so right now they are on my top list.
