walmart paid visa 100,000,000.00 per year in fees
No.
It's customers did.
Do you not think that is already built into the prices they charge?
Of course they are.
Do you think the savings will now be passed on in the way of lower prices? Maybe some?

Funny cuz Walmart accepts American Express, which to the best of my knowledge charges a higher % of sales to the retailer than Visa and Mastercard. Maybe they have a sweetheart deal with American Express and not Visa?

Costco used to accept American Express under a special arrangement, but now I think they only accept Mastercard.

No Frills will not accept any credit card (except perhaps a PC card)?

Personally, especially for larger purchases, I like the option of being able to use American Express and/or Visa.

Walmart likes using the tactic of getting a supplier to the point that they are very dependent on the Walmart business. At that point they squeeze the supplier for a lower price and because the supplier is so dependent they usually have to cave even though they can barely afford to sell it at that price.

I know they tried to get Visa to lower their fees but since Visa is so big they could afford to stand up to Walmart, hence the deadlock.

After walking past a couple of people in a Walmart a few weeks back and overhearing one say to the other in a cartoon dumb-guy voice "George is my friend'", I've thought of it every time I've seen that brand name since then.

The George brand T shirts are crap. Bought a few of them a couple years ago and they all shrank after the first wash. Have not bought George brand anything since.
