Wanted: Laptop computers with Windows XP operating system

I'm trying to acquire laptop computers that have a Windows XP operating system. I've been told that only certain laptops have drivers/ motherboards that are compatible with the XP operating system. I have no interest in the data that's on the computers, so that can be deleted or moved to a new computer. If there are installed programs, I might pay extra, if there are any that I'd want to use. I wouldn't pay a lot for them, but likely more than the scrap metal dealer.

I use a lot of old school apps and video games that don't work on Windows operating systems from Vista and more recent. A laptop with Windows 2000 o/s might also interest me.

I'm assuming you meant installing...no I haven't, and that's beyond my knowledge threshold, and probably outside of my budget, as well. A lot of XP laptops ended up in landfills, after Vista and subsequent Windows o/s's were released. The buyer's market for XP computers is relatively small; I just happen to be part of it. I'm not looking to flip these for a profit, and without a middleman, I can likely offer more for one than a used computer dealer would, while also acquiring them for a lower price than a dealer would charge me. My Geek can create an XP computer to my specifications for $250, including the hardware. He can install the XP OS and service packs 1-3 from his own software. The difficult part for him is obtaining the hardware with compatible motherboards/ drivers.
