In the near future the port city of Mariupol will cease to exist.

It's a strategically important city that connects the Donetsk to Crimea. The Russians can not allow it to be in Ukranian hands, they've decided to turn it into a Jaffa. The Arab city was put under relentless siege until it was completely destroyed then rebuilt as Tel Aviv. In 2014, Russian forces were not prepared for the industrial murder needed to exact total ethnic cleansing. The city is one of Putin's main objectives, it turns the Sea of Azov into a Russian lake. They keep making ceasefires, enticing the city's citizens with a corridor to safety. Once out of hiding, they are slaughtered. Reports suggest that a casualty count cannot be made, too much human remains everywhere. Will Putin and his staff be charged with war crimes? I doubt it, the W Administration got away with the rape of Iraq, setting a legal precedent.

Donato must be wanking with vigour to this...and they call it puppy love.

Maybe President Zelensky should consider surrendering.

The longer this war continues the greater the chance that nuclear weapons will be launched, Putin isn't very good at bluffing. Putin's game is chess not poker. The current situation goes back to the 90's, Walker Bush and Clinton still considered Russia a pariah, hoping that Yeltsin would do as he's told. The Rape of Iraq caused nuclear proliferation, Putin may not launch the first salvo, Kim Jong Un may do it for him.

The longer the war goes on the more Putin's troops shrink in numbers, thus weekend to invade any NATO country like the Baltic Countries.

Surrendering means you are at the mercy of a genocidal madman.

Good point. Eroding Putin's war machine. But, the cost will be Uke lives.
"As of the morning of 3 March, Russia’s losses in the war with Ukraine have reached 9,000 soldiers, with 217 tanks, 900 armoured vehicles, 30 planes and a substantial amount of other equipment destroyed."
Another factor to consider is that Russia is depopulating at a rate of 1mm annually so the pool of conscripts is also declining.
