Convincing ranchers that having beavers on their property is to their advantage will be difficult. California has taken the lead in restoring beavers to their waterways, after all these busy engineers do replenish the water table. Whether it will be enough to prevent Las Vegas and LA from reverting back to desert remains to be seen.
