Well our beloved buds picked up Doug Gilmour and Phil housley, together the have about 90 years of experiene between them. They did miss out on others which would have helped out a ton. With these 2 pick up I don't think that the buds have what it takes, what about you?

The 'experts' said the same thing about two aging goaltenders (Sawchuck/Bower) back in '67. Dougie 'killer' Gilmour has the heart of a lion. Housley has been proven solid blueliner for years. These guys know what it takes to win and I for one am happy there's some strong leadership in the dressing room. Looks like 'not standing anymore' Pat Quinn thinks, dare I say it, have a real shot at the cup. Would luv to see it happen. Would be great to see the look on Cujo's face too.

Oh to dare to even dream of it....

straight blade

have to agree with Sheik

I prefer a straight blade, not only better for handling but I have a way more accurate shot, but again everyone has their personal preference.

I'm glad Dougies come home to finish his career, would be really nice if they won the cup to!

ok...I know, I'm dreaming! lmao:D

Wherever I shouldn't be
Spiker: I fear you CAN only "imagine the roar", as for all they did, the Leafs still don't have enough.

A cynic would say that the only move that mattered was Nolan . The others , particularly Gilmour , were more in the vein of PR moves . Defense is still not good enough and team speed is suspect .

Toronto fans remain for the most part delusional .....it's cute....lol.

while i don't agree with train's mocking tone, there is some truth to what he's saying. what ever happened to long term thinking when i comes to trades? there's a huge chance that doug is going to retire after this season. if we win the cup, who cares, but if we don't we have to pay the guy something like $500,000 U.S. in some 'retirement clause'.

the whole thing reminds me of the kenny johnson-wendle clark trade a few years ago. what kind of crack were they smoking when they planned that one? it was like 5 years ago, and johnson is still in his mid 20s now!!! the thing that i still can't understand about these trades is no one seems to complain about them at the time, but when you pick up eddie 'b' durring the off season people freak. ok, eddie won't be around for ever, but at least he hasn't already retired twice like some people.

don't get me wrong, i hope the leafs go all the way, i just whish they would think a little more long term with their roster changes. look at the nordique/avalanche. how long did they stink for? but every year they made smart choices, and look at them now.
