Wendy Leaver and Tanya's Trial.

Being an avid CBC radio listener lately I found this interesting.

I am not sure which section this should go in and if it is allowed (it does talk about the street scene). It is a documentary about the Wendy Leaver and the Sex Crime Unit.

I though it would be good for the ladies and agencies here to know that there are "good" cops out there looking out for there interests.

A good cop...

I heard that broadcast as well as the follow up discussion with Wendy Lever this morning on the current.
She is a good cop...doing a good job. I've heard from more than one sex worker that they feel they can trust her and do talk to her. Unfortunately, she is battling clogged court systems on their behalf....and a prevailing bias that if the woman is a sex worker, then being beaten by a john is just an occupational hazard...not news worthy and not a priority issue in the system. Wendy is one of the few cops fighting to change this.

Its also unfortunate that the idiot who is spreading the rumours about me being a convicted pedophile is also trying to bring heat on Wendy and have her unit disbanded.

Having met and spoken to Wendy as well as having heard back from numerous ladies that I've referred to her, she is very well respected by the working girls.

Ahh, the board that hate built. No real info on SCs there, so it's no good for me, but not much other info either. Run by an angry internet toughguy who calls other people internet toughguys. The 'angry one' casts wild aspersions and TERB forecasts of doom which never seem to come to pass much like the best of AM Radio. Also proves that with unregistered users comes and infinite capacity to snipe and slander. They 'keep it real', real awful. (But it can be fun in a car wreck sort of way.)

Please note, I'm referring to that board, not the other ones which mostly suffer from being quiet.

Part was really moving. For Tanya, for all her character flaws, had some understanding any sympathy for the guy that raped and cut her.

She could really teach others a lesson in empathy, for those who would look down on her for who she is and what she does.

SPOC (Sex Professionals of Canada) fully supports Wendy Leaver, with a note on the site asking her to "never retire". I've been in contact with a lot of women over my time in the industry and my advocacy obsession and she has never once let anyone I referred to her down. I was surprised to hear that there was someone (in the Ask-A-Hooker thread) who didn't trust the police still, but even a girl who doesn't trust the police can trust this woman.

She's doing and has done a fantastic job of advising Summer and Amanda (@ex4Play) on their next moves and continues to be in close contact with them.

A lot of girls have come to me over the last 20 months looking for help with issues in the industry. Its ridiculous that the two out of the three people who have never failed me or any of the girls I've referred are being targeted. If you know more than 3 escorts than chances are you've known someone that Wendy/Sheik has helped or will. We have so many people on this board, why does it seem no one else is equally as outraged?!
