Has anyone seen this show on Animal Planet??

While I'm all for protecting the whales (or any species that's endangered), these yahoos look like The 3 Stooges in a Saturday matinee. I know the crew for the most part are volunteers, but even the main crew leave a lot to be desired. The first mate doesn't know port from starboard, has the personalty of a rock, and never has a positive thing to say. Paul Watson really doesn't shine as the leader of this motley crew as well. I'm sure if he wasn't getting some decent coin for the show, he wouldn't allow it to be aired, as The Sea Shepard's just come across so 2nd rate.

Paul Watson is the only person in the world who is doing something to end the slaughter of whales.

Confusion, hell, I'm confused most of the time myself.

You go Paul. I'm with you 100%.

Yes Ive seen it. The whole thing bogles the mind, they seem to get lost, almost lose crew members, damage the ship. Im sympathetic to the casue but I dont understand why the UN cant handle shutting down the Jap's. If things escalate it be a shame if they all die when all they needed was a good lawyer int he world court.
The UN couldn't organize a tea party at the old age home.

If ever there was a more useless organization on the planet, I'd like to know what it is.

Yeh, they stood by while 800,000 were murdered in Rwanda in the 1994 genocide, like they are going to be able to get their act together for a few thousand whales.

I gather the Japanese actually purport that their hunt is for "scientific research", shades of 1984, although the species they hunt are apparently not on the endangered list.

I fail to see why everybody is harping (or dare I say harpooning) on the UN about whales. The International
Whaling Commission has nothing to do with the UN, and the UN has no authority in this matter.

I watched this show a couple of times, and ya the crew does seem a bit disorganized. The captain looks like a big cuddle bear and the volunteers really want to do something to help, but I haven't actually seen them do anything but injure themselves and the ship.

I've watched it, like I said, two or three times and haven't seen them actually do anything for the whales. It's been all about tracking the Japanese ships on the radar and "oh, it got away again". It is interesting though.

If the whales are not on the endangered list now, they will be soon if they continue to be hunted. At least this group of people are trying to do something. Now, Obama hitting the fly and animal lovers go crazy...flies aren't endangered. I wonder if any of the animal do gooders out there have ever slapped a mosquito?

Agreed, that guy has got some serious balls doing what he's doing.
Same goes for the rest of the crew - they had a super hot chick on that ship last year, model material.
