My 40th birthday is coming up in October and I'm looking for ways to bring in the occasion. What are your suggestions?

Can't even remember. Was in a long term sexually dead "relationship" I'm sure she had something planned for me. I seem to remember a tv commercial where some guy was celebrating his 40th by going on a well earned luxury cruise on an ocean liner, with a huge group of friends seeing him off with a wild party. Not my life.
I agree. Binge with several SW on that weekend or night if not hanging out with friends. Or do the 3, Stripper, MP and SW one of each.

I'm all about food. A nice rib eye with some red, ice cream, hot pot, whatever your little heart's desire. I find it's much more satisfying than poon.
Went to Vegas with my buddies who also turned 40 that year. None of us gamble. Hit up 3 strip joints in 3 nights. Shot some guns. Dune buggy ride. Good food and drinks.
Had a 4 year old and 7 year old under foot.
With wife just started back to work a year earlier
So mortgage payments, one kid in before and after school day care and the other in full day day care.
So my 40th birthday was dear wife baked a cake.
We had some sort of dinner at home.
After din I blew out a 4 and an 0 candle.
Then we tried to wind the kids down into bed after they had a good little sugar rsuh from Dads' cake.
With wife just started back to work a year earlier

My 40th was streak, beer, a couple of friends, and some raunchy 'civilian' sex (not with the friends). That's usually what I try for each year. Since I'm not really dating right now I may book a special something with an escort or two before the steak, beer, and friends.
I'm a relatively cheap date. The Keg for my 40th (AFAIR), but I'm not above a strip steak at my local pub, or even Chuck's. It's as much about having a laugh with a couple of old friends as anything. For my birthday, or at Chuck's, I want steak but I'm a beer and burger guy at heart.
