I drove from Cambridge to Whitby and then Whitby to my trailer and I was so tired I had a peanut butter sandwich and passed out before 9am.

BUT I have been up since 4:30am and now get to go fishing!

1lb rib eye in my air fryer for 8 minutes, 1 cucumber, 1 tomato for the "side" and a bunch of grapes for dessert. Pedestrian, but that's all I can eat these days. Preparation time: 8 min.

Didn't order in.
I cooked at home.

Last weekend as part of an early morning routine I have as the sun rises, I head out to do a tour of suburban dumpsters to see what these might hold of interest to me.
Usually for sure I find a worthwhile number of empty beer cans and a good collection of yesterdays newspapers to fill the afternoons read.

But last weekend, the long weekend, it looked to me like someone likely had been visiting an older parent, and cleaned out their fridge and freezer.

So one white kitchen garbage bag I poked had lots of food items. I left the half filled bottles of condiments.
But grabbed the 'past dated' Oct 2022 but still full and sealed 1kg bag of still mostly frozen blueberries.
And a pork loin that had been dated dec 22, and was still mostly frozen when I found it

So yesterday I cut the pork loin out of its package and gave it a good sniff and all seemed well.
So I baked it in a roasting pan slathered with chipotle bbq sauce.

Served with reheated carrots and mashed potatoes that had been mashed with a tub of 'hell of a good' dip to make them extra tasty.
It made a nice meal for 4, and there are left overs for another such meal.

What was worse? Traffic @ 401 & Hespeler Road or Toronto?

Excellent. Rare. I've been making all my steaks in the air fryer, daily- my diet. New York strips need 11 minutes because it's a tougher cut. I put coarse kosher salt on top(quite liberal) and a hot steak sauce and it's almost a meal. LOL!!

Interesting! I'm a hardcore BBQ'er for the steaks, good to know this is another good way to go.
