So I notice my computer seems to have been getting a bit...well...slow recently, so I decide to do some "spring cleaning". Run Spybot, run an online virus scan, nothing comes up. Then I decide to check what all processes are running and using up my computer's "brain". I see a couple with the word "Ad" in the title and grumble. So I search them out to eradicate the little bastards, and there is a handy dandy guide to unistall it?!?! But as I start to run it, the program has the audacity to ask me WHY I want to get rid of it, and I have to fill out some answers before it will remove it from my system. There of course was no option for "I didn't choose to download you dam program". But it makes me wonder, if Spyware/Adware is so advanced now that it installs its damn self into you software section, what is next? Is it going to just start ordering stuff FOR me?!?! I must say the thing that ticked me off the most was having to fill out a gosh darn survery to remove something from my computer that I never wanted in the first place.

*grumbles*
Okay that it the end of my late night rant

It's been good to know ya
That sounds too scary to me. You actually filled this thing out and answered these questions? The question is where did your answers go to? Is it actually gone now for sure or is it possible it only appears to be gone and has seperated into more less obvious places. Something like the sounds of that would have me on the phone to a pc tech immediately to find out the real source and have them remove it for me. If I am unsure what something is I never ever would touch it myself.

I have done a lot of computer stuffs in my day, I ran a full search for it, and it was all gone from every folder/program/file (I even checked hidden files). They didn't ask for my e-mail addy, and it was the only way to remove it. Of course chances are they have already ascertained my e-mail (bastards). Good thing I have my spam filters on high!
