What would it take fot TERB to become Ontario's premier escort REVIEW board again? I see from all the bye bye now threads people are not happy with the direction its been going in the last few months.

A banner with a picture of Fang and Goober dancing Naked around the May-Pole?

Something to remind us just how hot you ladies are!

It seems to me that terb is trying to strike an impossible balancing act. On one side the advertisers (the SP) who fund the board's operation. On the other side the consumer of the service. On the other side a new found evangalism for the entire sex trade industry.

Firstly, terb must stop thinking of themselves (or certain mods) as some kind of watchdog or policeman. I have seen threads where Sheik is investigating!! a claim. WTF.

Secondly, the advertisers need to stop being able to call the shots on reviews - period. It's a fact of life that there are good and bad reviews on any service or product, and whether they advertise here or not should not be a factor in a review.

Also, the mods need to be much more aggressive in banning the total a--holes that pop up with the needless bashing etc. One warning and then they should be gone.

There would obviously be a short term effect on revenue for the board from SP advertising. terb needs to really understand the product and service they want to provide, and the revenue model. I would suggest that user fees from the people benefiting from the reviews be an obvious choice. Make it voluntary in the beginning (it may be possible now, but I see no way to make a donation ie Paypal) but phase in annual fees if you want access to the Review Section. Keep the Lounge and general discussion areas free though as it encourages traffic.

The current environment is not pleasing any of the stakeholders. There needs to be a change, but it needs to be driven by the long term vision of the owner(s). This is no different than any other business.

You had my vote until this part. I am sorry, but i am not going to pay money to post and read reviews. If i really needed to, I will just go to one of the other free review boards, where much of the same information is available/regurgatation of terb. I dont reall think a user fee would work.
You're going to make me pay to read a review, even when i post reviews. I dont think so.

Ask people why they are leaving. I would be willing to bet one of the main reasons is all the personal attack flame wars. It's one thing to diagree with some one's viwpoint etc... but when the name calling and put downs start that's when I leave that thread and don't look at it again.

I understand why many people would feel that way. I have difficulty with it as well, but the real business issue is how do you replace the revenue you may lose from the SPs? Either we pay, or Fred finds some other source of revenue ie banners from non-SPs. Any way you slice it, it takes money to operate this place.

You could implement a sliding scale based upon the number of reviews submitted, or just a base annual fee, say $10. I think a large number of people would contribute a small amount annually to make this board a review board again.

It's Fred's board and I like the balance that has been struck between the ladies and clients. I bet most people would agree but you only hear from the few that are pissed.

Ask yourself which other boards would aggressively ban weirdos like Daniel?

ask again. it seems like there are too many reviews being deleted or heaviily edited as per the girls that they are being written about.

Even though many people harrase you about your appearance, the mods help you alot by doctering your threads. You should be very greatful for them and how they treat you.

how do they doctor my threads by removing the bashing? or are you talking about my not wanting escorts or agencys posting on my reviews or advertising threads? i have made that clear from the begining i don't post on your reviews or advertising threads and all i ask is if you do the same. miles you can post what ever you want on my threads as long as your banner isn't at the bottom is that really too much to ask for darling.

ps... i never said i wasn't greatful to fred or the mods on terb i for one know they have alot of bullshit to deal with

The mods need to block the IP address then.

PS Sorry to hear about the BS you put up with. I have seen you a few times, and don't understand the aggression you seem to attract.

These are all fine ideas (I removed the paying part) But I don't think it is entirely up to the owners and the moderators of the board to fix all of the problems, At some point we (as contributors) need to do our part and try not to resort to flame wars and personal attacks when others disagree with our point of view. This is Fred's board and he is going to operate it as he sees fit but we should do our part to try to make it work and above all else try to keep it fun and entertaining.

In my opinion what this board needs is a 'PLONK' button or a 'Block Sender' button where the individual will be able to independantly delete the posts or threads he/she deems inappropriate on their own computer. It might get rid of the flame wars, and I'll bet the assholes will go away soon enough if they can't get a rise (or replies) out of people.

Let the members have the board back. As soon as you start restricting who can be reviewed and what can be reviewed and how it can be reviewed a lot of the potential reviewers (myself included) are going to say screw you and not review on this board at all. There are other boards around that are more "hobbiest friendly" after all.
