What's a (TERB) "White Knight?"

In a thread, I was accused of having "white knight" syndrome. I found that confusing since I stated in the thread that I was never going to see the SP because of her restrictive menu, I pointed out that she had numerous negative reviews and that no one should go see her if they wanted a passionated SP. The only "nice" thing I did for her was to list her positive reviews. I did this because I felt that all the negative things I said about her, the least I could do was point out that there were some individuals who enjoyed her services.
Anyway, is there a general consensus on what a WK is? Or is anyone who is "nice" to a SP considered a WK?

Out being curious
I thot white knights were those who jump in a thread to defend the girl if she is being ill-spoken of....very similar to whats happening with emm and a couple other ladies lately...

I'm not familiar with the thread you mentioned, but it sounds like you may have been falsely accused of being a white knight.

In my view, a white knight is someone who pounces on any person who isn't making flattering comments about an SP, regardless of whether or not the comments are warranted.

Well if that's the case moviefan then Freestuff is clearly one. Whoever called him out as one was on point.

The SPs start off at a disadvantage on here. If they're attacked, it's bad for business to retaliate just as strongly even though they pay the freight here.
There would be no need for white knights to come to their defense if there was more respect and consideration. Even bad reviews should be respectful to the woman.

Saying that, it's annoying and paternal to have white knights always coming out to defend every little word or to hear them chime in with their "way to go, dude!" after a positive review of their favourite lady.

Well, I think if a review is poorly written and is insulting then we need a white knight to come on and defend the lady in question. In fact, I think it is against terb rules to slam an sp in any way. You can say everything you want to without being insulting.....

There are 2 types of men in the world.

Men who LOVE women and men who HATE women.

I see absolutely NOTHING wrong with being a "white knight", someone has to defend our sisters!

For all you guys that have been labeled "white knights"..good for you boys! I'm proud of ya!!! :)

For the record, I called freestuff a White Knight for one simple reason: at that point in this thread, he had made 8-10 posts extolling the virtues of and "defending" an SP by telling others what a marketing genius Emm is and that it`s not their place to question her services, etc. Annoying, but his perogative.

Finally, in response to this:
Can we please re-direct some of these posts to my good reviews to keep them bumped please? THANK YOU.
Freestuff posted this:
As per the young lady`s request:
Followed by a list of links to positive reviews.

THAT`s when I called him a White Knight. For being a sad little lapdog.

Try telling the whole story or posting a link to the thread in question.

In my opinion, those considered "white knights" are the one's that reardless of the issues the lady in question bring upon themselves... the "knights" always side with them.

The reviewer might say that the sp cut time short after release (pay for an hour and get 15 minutes of service) and complains. The "knight" will have something to say to defend the sp.

I considered "knights" to be individuals that do not have the pleasure of getting outside and mingling with others.

Yup. I highlighted the key word. You can't call someone a white knight from one post, it's a pattern of behavior, but if a guy always chimes in to support the SP no matter what...

Are these guys passive aggressively hoping for freebies in exchange for their support? I've never understood it. We've had these WK's on here since the dawn of time.

I agree with CG, insults or rude behavior should not be tolerated. That being said, many WK's react to normal statements. The funniest WK's always do something along the lines of:

Reviewer: She answered several phonecalls during the session and killed the mood for me.

White Knight: I've been with her many times and this never happened to me. You must be lying. Or it's probably because you smell bad, in which case you deserve it. Try taking a shower every once in a while and you'll get treated better. [SP Name] I'm so sorry you have to read stuff like this. You deserve so much better!

I don't know, I actually find it funny to read.

But like Medman said... If someone is being rude to a TERB lady, I'm gonna call him on it plain and simple.
I agree with you, but it's also interesting to see how the women on TERB are put on a pedestal compared to the men. We're all so quick to defend them against rude comments, yet how often do we defend other men against the same? Not nearly as often, that's for sure. Not that it's surprising, but still interesting nonetheless.

I'm curious about how SP's feel about WK's. Is it more of a "thanks for caring" or a "I can defend myself, thank you very much"? Or...?

Anyone?

I'm sure an SP would like a confirmation from a hobbiest when they are falsely accused of something. If they go on and on about praising the ground they walk on, i'm sure the SP herself feels uncomfortable about it. I have heard SPs talk about how embaressed they get if someone is shilling them.

Therefore I believe being nice to an SP using facts (WK) is ok in moderation, shilling is going over the line.

What I don't understand is why there's often an assumption that the WKs (whether the WK accusation is warranted or not) expect or hope for freebies, or more generally, for some sort of reward for defending the damsel in distress (whether the damsel is in need of rescuing or not)? Do you assume that the WK is known to the lady -- a client of hers? Since many suggested that WK are those that display a pattern of always defending the ladies, no matter who the lady is and what the circumstances are, then assuming they expect or hope the ladies to pay them back with their charms doesn't make much sense.

If I may suggest an explanation: those accused (rightly so or not) of being WK usually voice their chivalrous concerns against comments made about a lady in review threads, where the vast majority of ladies do not comment on or respond to. When a guy here is being the object of rude or disrespectful comment, it is assumed that he can defend himself by replying to those comments himself. I for one am rarely the object of WK chivalry: I assume because I'm an active poster here, and because most people know that I'm very much able to defend myself if need be. Or it could be that I'm not enough of a lady to inspire chivalrous sentiment, but I like the first explanation better. ;)

You nailed it with that first statement... You have a reputation on here as the "don't take crap from anyone" type girl, and you have demonstrated (on numerous occasions) your ability to defend yourself quite handily whenever challenged.

simply put, imo, men want to rescue, woman want to reconstruct.....regardless whether the lady is an Sp, retail clerk, waitress, lawyer, accountant. and regardless if the guy is a doctor, construction worker, postalworker or taxi driver..
