When good clients go bad

There seems to be a natural progression where clients I've seen for years just for lack of a better word... go bad. They expire. Good times are over. Theres no money to be made. They go sour.

Out of respect I answer their messages and I book them knowing they're not going to come through and they cancel or just dont follow through until I eventually block them.

My question is, why do they even bother?

Are they bored? No money? Angry? What?

I only let them waste my time a bit because I've made thousands of dollars off of them but why go sour like that and perpetually waste time?

I let it go on to see how much people are willing to waste my time and one person has been doing it for over a year 🤔. I dont even travel to their area anymore.

Its not just one person its several over the years. They just book and dont show up and book and cancel. A person today scheduled me Friday for Sunday and I just acted like I would book them knowing full well I haven't seen them in four years and for four years they go through this routine. Sure enough they canceled but they've gone through the trouble to contact me from different numbers. Its just strange.

If I dont want to book my hairdresser I dont keep contacting my hairdresser or my masseuse on social media and on their work phone. I just find a new hairdresser or masseuse.

What is going through their heads from a man's perspective? Do they want me to throw myself at them? Am I supposed to lay it on thick or what?

"Hey baby, are you ready for me to suck your beautiful massive cock? My pussy is so wet for you!"

Is that what they need to hear or is it just dead and can't be revived and they're just being assholes? Lol

*theyre generally people that booked me weekly, bi weekly or monthly and I did quit for a while and came back. They contact me but never follow through.*

I can't put myself in their head but after spending so much time with you, maybe they were looking for a sign that they were a little more special than other customers. Maybe the same routine and the familiarity of your company isn't providing the same thrill as when they first met you.

I find that the benefit of dating an escort is the knowledge that she is only there for my wallet so that when I need a change - it's over - I can walk away without guilt or regret.

I agree - making and breaking appointments is stupid and selfish. I would hazard a guess that he wants more than a monetary relationship but doesn't know how to achieve it.

I haven't experienced this exact issue, although I've had longterm regulars begin to let their hygiene deteriorate and/or get too comfortable with greatly overstaying their paid time to the point when they actually leave on time they make passive-aggressive complaints.

I will give a few chances to correct the hygiene issues, even though it is such an awkward subject.

I don't mind allowing a great regular some extra time. It should be appreciated though and not taken for granted.
There are times when I have other plans, or I'm hungry or tired and I need to end the session on time.
As soon as I receive an ungrateful, entitled attitude, he is done. No chances.

I fired a 7 year regular over a combination of the two above mentions.

PSA for the guys.

Sometimes these things cut both ways. I had a regular SP who started slipping—she’d still be in bed when I arrived, her hygiene wasn’t what it used to be, she began asking for the donation upfront (though she never ghosted), and she got slower and slower at replying to my texts or calls. Eventually, I just walked away without saying anything.

After that, the regretful messages came in—excuses ranging from a sick neighbor’s chicken to a broken clock, all trying to explain why things had gone the way they did. She promised to change, but by then I was too fed up, maybe even too prideful, to give her another chance. Maybe too familiarity for both of us kicked in...

At the end of the day, these interactions over a long period of time are indeed a relationship of sorts. Yes it is paid, but it is still a relationship building over time. Like any relationship, things sometimes go sour for many different reasons. Becoming too relaxed, Sex not as hot and passionate, slipping hygiene, being taken advantage of in different ways.

The key is to know when to walk away and accept the other person as walked away. Respectfully.

As one SP told me she is always on the lookout that this great regular client who is a powerful business dude will turn sour once she refuse something. They feel entitled as they spent so much on you and truly they have become used that no one ever says no to them...

She would cut ties very quick and absolutely never leave an explanation as those are useless with such men. Its like trying to argue with a drunk...

Well I’m the one with the money and the power in this dynamic so if their level of satisfaction isn’t keeping up then I will just go to another SP that can. It’s the best hobby ever lol
You don’t have the power. She can drop you at any time and many of us have.

It is an equal dynamic when dealing with a free choice escort. If you are not dealing with a free choice escort then that certainly says something about you that you would participate in exploiting a woman.

Yeah, most issues can happen on either side, client or provider.

The thread is called "When Good Clients Go Bad" so that is why my post was focused on client behaviour.

Manners are manners are manners.
Booking and constantly canceling are not good manners unless there is some very clear reason why. But to be that insensitive to someone else's time...is not on.
I do admit w a long time reg I do appreciate getting a bit more latitude on the various issues like if I'm a few mins late or if I stay over 5- 10 mins. But I'm usually the one to mention it eg "oops I see I'm a few minutes over let me stay friends with you by getting the hell out." We usually have a laugh, but I do hustle myself out fairly quickly after that.

In the same vein, I give my regs a lot of latitude. I had an appointment downtown and booking a fave reg for 90 and she was driving in and was one hour late (Toronto traffic, she kept me posted as to her ETA throughout). By the time she arrived I could only do an hour not the 90 mins I booked. But it was no worries as she's built up such goodwill over the years and given me latitude so all is forgiven and I've booked her since. Shit happens.

I also find more and more people are on the "what have you done for me lately?" mentality.
Had a reg who had a small injury and didn't want to take off her bra. Normally that's a clear rejection. But this lady had grandfathered me in on her initial rates as she became more and more prominent and could attain higher rates yet i still got the low ones. I never forget that she did that. Thus, if she wanted to keep her bra on for that visit - OK by me. She absolutely earned that latitude.

This is the same with providers.
They start off great but start going bad at some point.
I saw one provider over 4 or 5 years and by the end of it, she wasn't enthusiastic about MSOG, etc.,
Had to move on from her.
I feel chemistry and service is preserved when you repeat, but not too often.
Possibly once a quarter, works best.

If you truly know that they are not going to come through then do not book them. You are not doing yourself or them any favors.

A friend taught me many years ago that everybody is an individual...There's commonalities for sure but there is plenty of nuance as well...In the end trust your gut with each case.

Exactly. You see there is no need to turn into a bad client when you are somehow no longer satisfied.

It happens with providers also. I’ve been seeing someone weekly for over two years but had to quit after repeated requests for her to shower before we met. I tolerated her bad hygiene for a few visits but she became hit and miss so I walked. She texted weekly to get together again but that ship has sailed.
The sea is literally full.

It's always either the provider or the client sometimes it's both of them its very similar to being in a normal relationship the way I read things here
Well, it's a relationship. So indeed, any relationship is rarely forever; friends, business, coworkers, lovers, family, etc.

Well that's the strange part that I don't understand. Why do they even bother contacting me?

If they're not interested, I'm more than happy for them to just go on their merry way. I would have more respect for them if they just found a new providers and left me alone. It makes no difference to me.

I'm only giving them extra chances because they spent so much money in the past but they all have the same thing in common. Their word is no good anymore. I hope that one day they might return to their old selves and keep forking out the dough but they just turn into time wasters.

To be fair these are people that consistently forked over hundreds of dollars on a pretty consistent basis and then I left for 2 years.

Maybe that is a big part of the dynamic but either way its weird and I dont get it.

I understand them losing interest. It's not easy dealing with the same people all the time either. I just dont know why they keep contacting me and why they even bother.

I still have clients that I've known for much longer and its more irritating than anything else.

I don't really understand them thinking they want more either because if they only contact me when they need something why would I care about having a relationship with them?

I'm not reading that whole thing.Because you obviously woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

These are not new people. These are people that i've known for several years that I that I saw on a weekly or monthly basis.

I guess I was just looking for input from people that might understand why they do this.

Regular customers that budget monthly are pretty much money in can count on every month. I made money off of the same people repeatedly and consitently, i didnt advertise much and then I took a long break and then came back.

I guess I just don't understand the mentality of people who would go from seeing me once a week to turning into time wasters.

They're not traditional time wasters in the sense that they're just wasting my time.

They started off good people. This hasn't just happened once or twice and maybe it's because of how much I rely on my regulars that other people don't understand why this is an issue. I dont just throw people away and treat them like trash for no reason. I have long standing established relationships with these people.

I understand that it makes more sense to keep a few people happy rather than always looking for new clients.

It's just strange because they're not communicating to me what the issue is. I obviously have to give them more chances than I would the average person. I had long standing relationships with these people.

They're just not acting right for whatever reason. It could be that I just abruptly stopped. I did build relationships with these people where they did almost see me as a girlfriend.

I've just had to scrap a lot of clients that were good since I came back and it sucks. They were good people. A lot of them treated me better than my own partners at the time. They were better "boyfriends" than my own boyfriend 😂

So let me get this straight...you knowingly waste your time on purpose to reply back to timewasters along with letting them book time with you well knowing as you said that they will cancel then eventually when you feel like it you block them and you're now posting a topic whining about it?

You've also made topics in the past (yes new account, but I've lurked this forum long enough) whining about clients wasting your time mostly through texting apps and advice was given to you about 2 or 3 times how to not deal with them by another SP on here who's posted in this topic.

Some guys are bored and some have money but are being cheap or don't have money so at times they try to get less.

As someone who's texted SPs in the past few years I'd say learn to be blunt with your reply. The blunt SPs will reply back in text saying what time/day are you looking for? And if the client replies back making general small talk the SP will text back are you looking to book or no and cuts the chit chat. If the client still replies back with annoying stuff that isn't answered in her ad then she can openly tell the client she's about to block them.

Based on some of the topics you've posted on this forum it seems like you have a really hard time being a good business woman in this line of business.

On one hand you're whining about clients being overly chatty over text and then you say but I like being nice instead of straight to the point with the client i.e. what day/time are you coming? If someone doesn't show up once without texting you they are running late or had to cancel then you block them and move on.

Oh gotcha. You need narcissistic supply. That tells me everything I need to know. I hear your comments and they make sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

That makes it easier for me to block them, though if I think that there are women hating narcissists like yourself, but they're not.

Maybe they are now though. Who knows.

As a guy if I was dating you or seeing you as a SP or anyone else for that matter why I choose to text a woman and waste her time is because I'm bored at the moment with clear intention of not coming to see you to fuck. Didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed, but you come across annoying as a SP lol. If I'm horny and wanna get fucked, but am texting a woman who I don't wanna see to fuck it's cause I've got others lined up to fuck. You're just someone I'm texting in the moment due to bordem and feeling lonely. Happens in the dating world too, to both men and women. It's called stringing people along cause you crave a reply back or a contact. No diff than lonely fuckers on like FB trolling on purpose cause they want some dopemine hit and it gets them going when people fall for it.

can you elabroate on this? cant relate to cancelling without being sure im going to book if i reach out again but i am curious what would make a weekly regular turn flaky. how long was the gap in time you were gone for? would they ghost you or just have different reasons to cancel each time

Ho me neither I do not understand. 25 years in business have taught me a great deal about how wealthy individuals differ.

I always had 2 solutions to face this. Can I afford to have a beef with this dude? Yes! So I ignored him and moved on.

No! So I licked their ass to whatever they wanted until I could afford the beef ;)
