You stole my pick ... so my second choice then is Jason Spezza. If I can't have Domi (Tie - or Dash) then why not Spezza on a high-powered team? It's not the same but he did lead the AHL last year and is a proven assist man. cheers.Cnd-Guy said:I think Tie Domi will give him a run

off to a fantastic season, no doubt...ricflairjuniour said:Heatley
I don't think we can put anyone into the class of Gretzky. Gone are the days in hockey pools where the first overall pick is a given. The players out there now are just as good, if not better, than everybody that was second and lower in the scoring races of the '80's. Don't forget, there are only 5 players in the history of the NHL with 150 points or more in one season, so 125 points is pretty damn good. Anyone care to guess who they are?21pro said:off to a fantastic season, no doubt...
but, let's put it into perspective. Gretzky went on a 51 game point streak. Heatley isn't even half way there, yet. Gretzky averaged 3+ points per game during that whole streak... Heatley averages around 2 points per game.
It's amazing that the guys we praise in todays NHL don't add up to 1/2 the player Gretz was... Well we'll have to wait and see what Syd the Kid will turn into... as well as Phil Kessel when he reaches the big 'N'...
