Who the fuck said we are more tolerant? Fatties, Immigrants, faggots, dudes that pay for it (OK, not the last one)...a 1 player said:Just a thought here...
Are there really that many people who are bigoted against the obese? I mean really. I am finding as we (as a society) become more tolerant of ethnic minorities, homosexuals, retardation, and a whack of other things, we must find something new to poke fun at.
Ok, a person that obese, (man or woman), is not a pleasure to look at for most people, but I think to make them become the root of jokes based solely on ones physical characteristics is both classless and tasteless.

I think it's really sad that those pictures were ever put online, particularly in the case of the first two ladies. The second pic looks as though she willingly posed for it, so, I sincerely hope she was paid!Dark Chimera said:My thoughts too
but I like to think they are just fuckin around and are not really spiteful of fat people
they cannot help it that they are fat
if you cant feel for them there is something wrong with you
This is the point that I must disagree with you on.Dark Chimera said:but I like to think they are just fuckin around and are not really spiteful of fat people
I hope you're kidding. People as fat as the ones in the original post can help it, they might have been genetically disposed to be larger than normal but not that fat. They achieved that by overeating big time. For that I have no sympathy...sorry.Dark Chimera said:My thoughts too

I understand what you are saying, and thank you for the 'retardation' correction. I was not aware that it was no longer appropriate. I think the difference being, I used 'retardation' as an error, not knowing that it was inappropriate, and not purposely trying to offend.Inferno said:You're right, of course, a 1, but old habits die hard.
For instance, you probably weren't even aware that it's not OK to use the term "retardation" anymore (I think it's 'mental handicap' now).
Anyway, the point I'm making is that societal tolerances tend to change slowly... kind of like a big, fat, slow-moving barge.
Whoops!
Very few people realize that Legally there is nothing stopping you from doing what these people have done to the obese. In legal terms ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and even medical issues are covered and protected. Weight (over or under) and size (height or lack of) are not things that are legally backed. The charter of human rights is supposed to protect everyone from being singled out but does not mention anything as it pertains to physical size or weight. It is assumed that they are covered but they aren't. The amount of people that make fun of or single out big people I have either been their direct punchline (in my younger years I was too insecure to do anything about it but later on ended up putting a few people in their place in many different ways) or seen them picking on others and had to step in and tell them off for it. I just wonder how many of these people who poke fun at bigger/smaller people would do that if someone in their family was this way? A sister/brother? A child or parent? Remember these people have parents, some have children and some are brothers or sisters to people. How would you feel if someone said those things about your family members?a 1 player said:Just a thought here...
