Willy's Retirement!

W

Willywants

Well folks! The time has come!
While I have only been active on the board for a relatively short time compared to some other oldtimers, it is time to say a warm goodbye!
As much as I would like to make it more personal, I will leave it generic lest I leave out someone significant!
I would like to thank all those who have helped me through a rough period in my life with advice and moral support!
For those interested, I have found what I was looking for, but couldn't see for a period of time, whilst it was under my very nose!
A wife who loves me, cherishes me and nurtures me!
A wife who knows of my involvement in a pseudo life and who is willing to forgive and forget and start afresh!
A wife who is willing to match me in my efforts to focus on the rekindling of the romantic flame that had almost burnt out!
A wife, who, with a redoubled effort on my part, will become the woman I need and want!
A wife and a woman that I can love and cherish!

I hope this doesn't sound maudlin, but it sometimes takes the near loss of things important in ones life to fully understand and accept their importance!
I do not want to leave the board on a judgemental note, as I hesitate to judge anybody and their actions, how can I after all, but I would like to say to at least two diverse segments that appear in threads and posts;
To the guys with their dicks in their hands, look beyond the quick fix fellas! The one from whom you seek immediate gratification is first, a real person deserving of respect, and second, a woman deserving a gentle touch, a kind word and a soft approach!
To the married gents, for what ever reason you may be detached from the reality of your married relationship, you may want to do an exercise in introspection and determine where perhaps you have gone wrong! This said in appreciation of the fact that some relationships are unsalvageable!
I count myself very fortunate in rather a contradictory sense! I have met and enjoyed the company of some very significant ladies who, to a lady, listening to my tale of woe, encouraged me in my relationship with my wife!
The contradiction may appear when I say that I am very fortunate to be married to the woman I have loved from the beginning!
In signing off, I would just like to say to the ladies, respect yourselves and what you do, you do serve a great need that goes beyond just the providing of a sexual service!
Be careful! Be safe! And look after you!
My best regards and respect!

Willywants (to join the ranks of the many lurkers!)

PS; I will eventually be asking the administrator to retire my handle and my Shakespeare tag line! Don't fight over them!

WillyWants is no longer wanting

Just today I found myself pondering whatever had become of WillyWants. Then I come on here and find your terb swansong. Wow. Must be something cosmic going on.

Anyway, it's good to hear that things are working out for you and wifey. Must be a damn pleasant change for the whole family.

Now doubtless there will be further bumps and irritations along the way but that's just life when viewed from ground level, i.e. after dismounting the charger. And I do hope that you have dismounted and not just jumped from one horse to another!

Willy, take a care. Going to miss you. Have a good life.

"It’s not having what you want. It’s wanting what you’ve got" In life that is often easier said than done. I saw it in "Silk" by Alessandro Baricco but I am still haunted by my need to find the illusive muse. I think that you would find this book emotionally rewarding and it is a quick read (can be done in an hour).

Hear hear! These wonderful women provide an invaluable service, often willfully overlooked and under appreciated in our society.

All the best to you Willy. And may your happiness last and become more and more complete day by day.

Cheers

Ok, I am going to be the voice of dissention here.

Willy, friend.

You have posted a hundred posts basically saying your wife was basically Beelzebub himself..

You have NEVER ever had a good word to say about her.

If there were three people in this world who were sure to go to hell it was Hitler, Osama, and your wife.

I could go back into any one of your 500 and someodd posts and there will be a million examples, but what's the point.

Don't get me wrong, i am not slagging you, I just can't believe it.

I can't believe that someone you had so much hatred for in the past, has caused you nothing but grief, and now she is your soulmate.

Are you sure your wife has slipped you some hard core narcotics in your morning coffee??

I mean, honestly, it is not possible to do such a 180.

Good luck, but to me, once you despise your spouse that much, you can't change it.

Sorry to pee in your cherios and all.....

Tiberius, you're missing the point.

If Willy didn't love his wife, she would never have had such an omnipresence on this board. Bravo Willy for having the patience and perseverance to work things out, it would have been far too easy to just quit and file for divorce. Willy, I wish you and wifey the very best. :)

....and don't worry about Osama he's got Eminem to play with.

Aldo - The Roman Celt who knew all along that this looked like a job for Willy.

The start of a meaningful reconciliation!
Thank you doc!

To Misty the Mystique!
Thank you for the perspective Misty! Very much appreciated!

Of course we all wish Willy well. My recollection from some of his posts is that he clearly has always loved his wife dearly, but that she was essentially not a sexual being. Perhaps she had been such with him at one time, but now 30 or more years later those sparks were long dead for her. Or between them, I should say. He had instead a fine and abiding friendship type of marriage, entirely lacking in sex.

Common enough. Many of us have been there.

I daresay this will not change, however, but if Willy wants to stop hobbying, that's certainly up to him. He'll save some money. And maybe he can indeed transfer some of his ardor away from SP's and back to his wife.

In my experience, however, you can't rekindle dead sex. (Oprah, Cosmopolitan magazine, and Dr. Laura to the contrary....)

We'll certainly miss you on this board Willy. I have enjoyed your silver-tongued posts tremendously as well as your presence at some of the get togethers.

Being of a certain age and state of mind, you are giving me pause to reflect and consider ....... hope this isn't contagious.

In any event, I wish you and yours all the best in the world.

And if you do fall off a particular wagon, I'll be there to pin a name tag on you!!!!

Cheers

Best of luck to you! I've appreciated the wit and wisdom about life that you've imparted on this board. Many of us consider ourselves lucky to have had the benefit of your life experience.

More Responses!!

Keep it up and you guys are gonna make me not want to leave!

To answer the latent queries that may be lingering in your respective minds as to why I have chosen to rededicate myself to wife and family, here is the reasoning!

An open door to freedom! But leading where?
Love, warmth, nurturing and security immediately at hand!
A realization that we do, all, often hurt the ones we love! But never beyond reparation! Love is strong when you externalize it beyond your own self!
The smoldering embers of an untended fire just waiting to be fanned into a fine healthy flame!
A very sensitive and now forgiving woman!
A clear indication that I am wanted and needed, not just for husbandly duties, but as a man!
A mutually recognized and accepted fact that cross purposes were at play in an otherwise very strong relationship!
The love and understanding of 3 wonderful kids and 4 grandchildren!

I could probably go on but probably risk boring you!
For those of you who may think I have succumbed to the wiles and guiles of an omnipresence in my life, the wife, and have fallen prey to the "dangling carrot", a woman's total passion and sensuality, you may be right! But when the hurtful wrongs of two people in a long term relationship are coincidentally recognized and righted, "The Way We Were" comes full circle back to "The Way We Are"! Heaven is but a few more steps away!

To those who wish we, us, success, thank you!

To maverick - complete v
erification! I am incurable!

To Aldo again - no G yet! But that is the quest and the challeng!

To einar - not dead, just long dormant and waiting to erupt! Who am I to dispute Oprah, Cosmo and Dr. Laura?

To QB7 - I'll miss you on the twelfth, but I'd be looking for Ocean to do the pinning anyway! Reflection's good! As long as happiness ensues! Thanks!

To Ripped - You fellow old fart! If I do return, I'll look you up! Hopefully, Fate will dictate otherwise! Will you still be there??

To E_B_S (Good Sam) - Perhaps I have learned the lesson! Thanks for the sentiment from the Valley!

To MrBello - Your thoughts and good wishes appreciated! Post more!

I have asked the administrator to disable my account as of Friday! Then, I become a lurker! I will still want to see who "tears" into Ripped next! Until then????

Good Fortune Is Really Only Chance!

Hi tinop!
Beware a woman's intuitive abilities!
I, too, love women! A lot!
You are younger by far than I, and you have started something a bit earlier than I did! I was 35 and 12 years married with 2 children before I strayed!
When denial and deceit become a part of everday life, for what ever reason, the living becomes all the more difficult!
Tread lightly friend! The loss could be greater than you can bear!
Thanks for your good wishes!
Yes! The keyboard will only be a quick reach away!
