It seems that China had spies planted in the Winnipeg Lab, (Qui et al. ) who had a history of working on bat related Coronavirus as early as 2015 at the Wuhan Virological Institute. The Canadian Government deported (Qui et al) in 2019 before the pandemic instead of making an arrest for whatever reasons perhaps .
At the time, Canada and China were at loggerheads over the arrest and detention of Meng Wenzhou in Vancouver.
