I turn on my computer and open my web browser (firefox 3.0.14) and went to terb. Went to click on a thread then my cursor does not move.

I use a wireless microsoft mouse

and with the keyboard was able to pull up the info and see signal was good and battery power was also good.

I tried to reconnect the mouse to the receiver: fail

I tried a different usb port: fail (actually I had to borrow a corded mouse and I an successfully using it in that same port)

I have an identical wireless mouse and exchange both the receiver and mouse: fail

does anyone have any suggestions for help or what the problem may be, other than buying a new mouse. I have grown quite fond of mines and don't want to replace it, but if I have to...

Thanks in advance

Try updating your mouse driver or re-installing it. You can download the driver from the manufacturer. Just search for it on Google.

Had an HP wireless mouse and another no-name one that were pretty crappy.
Been using a M$ 2000, wireless mouse for over a year now that has been excellent.

thanks everyone,

I just gave in and bought a new corded mouse (couldn't find my old one). I used rechargeable for my old wireless mouse, but even that was a bit of a pain to change, so that's why I went corded again.

Rechargeable batteries suck.
The new wireless mice are very low drain and alkaline batteries last a long time.
