Washington, DC, United States: The man credited with planning,
justifying and running the 'preemptive' war in Iraq has now been
rewarded with a prestigious new job in the Bush administration. High
profile Bush insider Paul D. Wolfowitz has just been appointed as
Chairman of the International Security Advisory Board. Secretary of
State Condoleezza Rice announced the appointment today saying she was
very pleased that Wolfowitz was available for this choice, well paid
appointment.
Wolfowitz left the Bush administration in 2005 under fire for his
disastrous failures in the running of the war. President Bush then
appointed him as head of the World Bank, a job he was forced to resign
in May, 2007 following ethics violations relating to his girlfriend.
"This new appointment will prove beyond the shadow of any doubt that
incompetence is highly valued in this administration." said Rice, a
highly regarded incompetent herself. "And, we're damned good at it!"
