Police have charged a 20-year-old St. Catharines man with attempted murder after a 20-year-old woman was stabbed in Niagara Falls early Sunday morning.
Investigators were called to a local hotel in the late morning hours, finding a woman suffering from stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital, where she underwent surgery. She is listed as stable but in critical condition.
Further investigation identified a suspect. Police say it does not appear the victim and suspect knew each other but that the meeting was pre-arranged.
