More fun than the best song lyrics, IMO.
Perhaps the worst of all time would be those in "Tell Laura I Love Her". That would be closely followed by "Sometimes When We Touch" by Dan Hill (aka Down Hill).
Then there is "Old Shep", sung by Elvis and others. My favorite part:
"Now Sheppie has gone where the good doggies go
And no more with Old Shep will I roam
But, if dogs have a heaven, then somewhere I know
Old Shep has a wonderful home."
Makes me gag just writing it down.
Also, the verse in "Ruby" by Kenny Rogers:
"Its hard to love a man whose legs are bent and paralysed
And I wont sum the needs of a woman your age, Ruby I realize,
But it won't be long i've heard them say until I not around
Oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town "
