Story time!
So I'm texting around the SP market in Durham today and message up a pretty young blonde on BP that I'd never met before - he's an unknown, no reviews. Usual question - rates, services. She responds with $150/hh.
Now, I'm not a haggler in ANY situation, SPs, cars, you name it. Makes me uncomfortable. But if an SP returns a price I find too expensive, I very politely tell her that she's out of my price range right now and maybe I'll contact her when I've got some cash to spare. It's so the SP knows not to wait for me to book her, pure manners. And typically the girl comes back with "No problem, hun" or something along those lines and we go on our merry way.
That's what I did with this girl. She came back with "What's your budget?"
So I truthfully answered "I was looking for something around $100. I wasn't trying to haggle with you though."
A few minutes later, she returns "$100 is fine."
Seriously? A $50 drop? 33% of your asking price just like that? The text reeked of desperation, possibly of a B&S, possibly even of a pimp situation. Call me crazy, but I think a girl with any sense of decency would hold firm to her price, or MAYBE try to haggle me up to meet her half way or something. Nope. $100 is fine.
I didn't respond.
What do you fellas and ladies think? Right move? Would you have done the same?
