how do I block images

I know it was posted before but I can't find the thread through the search feature.

How do I block images in the signature line from some, but not all, members. There are some images which I find disturbing, while there are others that slow my ability to scroll down the page because it takes a while to load. I don't want to disable the pics of all members because I enjoy some.

In Firefox you click on the image and check 'block images from ...'

not sure as to the function in IE or Opera

Go to User CP on top and change your settings.

You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.
