What a great idea for a drag-strip!!!
Not only would you have to improve your braking technique, but the view would be tremendous. Especially for drivers like Wile E. Coyote.
Better idea: as punishment for street-racers, they should be forced to race on or off (depending on the driver's skill) that thing. The good news is that they would get to fail only once!

I thought people used to do that in the old days, playing " chicken ".
Anyway, a dangerous airstrip that is.
