WHat IS it with women and expensive shoes? I had a client who loaned me some shoes to make her sliding shoe shelves for her closet. They were these black patent leather things with fake crystals on the toes. I tell you, they looked like something you'd find in the bargain bin at walmart but they were $350.00 US marked down from $700.00!!! and she had another 89 pairs priced like that.....SIXTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of SHOES...

Of course I could find cheaper shoes/boots, and I usually do.

Those boots are expensive for the same reasons that an Armani suit is going to be much more expensive than the suits you could find at Wal-Mart: quality of the materials, life of the product, quality of the workmanship, the aesthetic quality of the product, the creativity display in the product, etc. And of course, you are paying a premium as well for the name.

Yeah well, I knew that but I'll never buy, nor need, an armani suit.....that's just it: if you pay $350.00 for a pair of shoes that will last you, say 100 wearings, or $35.00 for a pair that will last you 45 wearings, and you only ever wear them 10 times, (or never as is the case with many women) then what's the diff?

I guess I'm too practical minded. Like a bugatti or a ferrari, I see no use in paying through the nose for a car that can do 200 mph when the most you'll ever really be able to do is 120 kph.......

As for creative quality, I learned something from the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada". When Meryl Streep's character said: that sweater you're wearing was shown a X's fashion show 4 yrs ago. It sold at Saks for the first year, the second...Macy's? then went into the bargain bin at Kmart.......

btw you need SPs services even less than an armani suit; as a practical minded person you must appreciate that jerking off is an alternative to sex that would be approved by your accountant (if you have an accountant)

And for the record, I prefer my Harry Rosen suit anyhow....(for those rare occasions when I do need one).

btw the irony is that I currently own a harry rosen suit (among others) and no armanis; that is why I know that harry rosen suit and armani is in the same ballpark and no harry rosen owner in his right mind would diss armani
