Federal Liberals have already distanced themselves from Rossi and chastised him for using Liberal resources to begin his campaign and solicit funds.

Talk about putting an obstacle in his own path.
Could you provide a link or other form of proof of this please. I have not seen anything about that whatsoever so am curious.

I have been searching all over for this tonight but have yet to find a link to anything about federal Liberals distancing themselves from Rossi, or complaints about him using company time to solicit funds.

Seeing as how raising so much as a penny before January 1, 2010 would be a pretty severe violation of Municipal Law, I would think that is the sort of thing people would like to get to the bottom of.

At this point I dont see myself voting for him, but would like to see a link to where you read this.

Thanks.

The same Layton-Chow combination that bilked taxpayers for subsidized housing back in 89-90 (or there-abouts) when then were pulling in over $120 G combined?

Oh ya... THAT Jack Layton/ Olivia Chow!
OK Relax! I'm not from TO It was just an observation from an outsider.

There is some grumbling from the liberal caucus, more because he is leaving as he is very good at his job and they now have to find a replace who is as good. The problem is I don't know

a) if he can get elected
b) if he wins can he survive, municiple politics are a blood sport and the Toronto version moreso than most, the federal version actually has rules

It was reported on CFRB radio as well as City TV. Apparently he was using Liberal facilities as well as his liberal email account to promote himself and to solicit funds. He is still in his Liberal position for some time but had said he would resign in December. There is no link as this was not something i saw on the net. If i come across something i will post it.

I assumed that soliciting support was a reference to financial support as well as other types of backing.

Iggy is polling even lower than Dion, is Rocco as good as his press would lead us to believe?

Your welcome. It will be an interesting race with a whole host of different characters. I just hope the council moves from being left. Most of them require replacing.
