The Jews are indigenous to that area and deserve a homeland and that is why the U.N. recognizes Israel as a legal state. On the other hand, the creation of Israel did displace a large number of Palestinians who are also indigenous to that area. I have little sympathy for Hamas because they do not respect human rights and do not recognize the legal existence of Israel. On balance, I think that Hamas is a terrorist organization that attacks both its own and Israeli civilians.
