If you've been through several elections with different parties over the years you will have learned by now that every friggin' politician lies just to get in office, once in they then focus on managing and mitigating the fallout of those lies through various damage control techniques. It's the game of politics, they all play it.
Sorry, US needs to get tough with unfair trade pratices. Plus they need to get dragged out of recession.

You must start to live in the new reality, the US is not that dominant player of the past that you're used to. Heck, their currency has dived over the past few months, it's now lower than the Aussie, Swissy, CAD, and is getting killed now by the EUR and GBP.
The US needs to use diplomacy more than ever as the world needs to work together in this day and age,......ie. you can't simply go to China and say let your Yuan float or else, China is becoming one of the biggest importers of the world and the US needs them......badly, just ask GM.

Trump pulled a few tricks to make sure his money was tied up in foreign bank accounts. When Ivana Trump went after his money Donald was supposedly "bankrupt", which he wasnt. It was a trick he pulled so she couldnt get to all his money.

After the whole Ivana affair Donald got much more careful and smarter, and made Marla Maples sign a prenup (which she did), and AFAIK she only got 1 mill out of the whole deal (after their divorce)

I don't believe Trump will run. It's just publicity. It's worked well for Palin.
Does Trump have an ego? Yes, and that's why he's hated. But he doesn't take himself too seriously. He allowed himself to be roasted.
I've always liked Trump even though he is always immersed undeserved arrogance. I believe that he is a decent person with a big personality. He knows of no other way to express himself and validate his existence. He can't rewrite his own life to start off poor rather than being born into wealth try to make it to the top on his own volition.
Trump is not be a self-made man, but he is at least smart enough to retain and build on the wealth that he inherited. An easy task? It should be, but most people handed such wealth would be broke within a decade. Upbringing has a lot to do with it. The rest of it is in the genes. His dad had what it took to become wealthy and with a little luck it happened (luck is always a factor in success). I don't doubt that Trump has the inherent ability to come from the bottom and rise to the top. He just never had to.
