pancers is still #1 in toronto. stockyards (bathurst and st clair) does make a very good pastrami but they are pretty seasonal (if the owner feels like it)

Unfortunately you can't take a joke. But then you also probably believe you can find a good deli sandwich in Toronto.
Sounds like another person who fled Montreal for Toronto but keeps talking about all the great things about Montreal.

Obviously they weren't great enough to keep them there, including the salty, stringy Schwartz sandwiches.

Never been but always heard about it. I'll look for it next time.

BTW, is this the same place where the old owner had a tattoo from being in a Nazi concentration camp?

Been to Centre Street Deli many times.

I've been to Katz's deli in NYC and quite frankly didn't see what all the fuss is about. Lived in MTL and went to Schwartz's and Ben's in MTL. Again, what is the big deal? I will have to try Jodi's and report back.

Nope Places in Toronto can't hold a candle to Schwartz's. You should get out more often.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Yitz's on Eglington and Avenue Rd.

poor simpleton, yes montreal is the apex of cured cow in the world, of course.
