They replace a horse in most applications and cost less to maintainATV's: So lard asses can enjoy nature too.
God forbid that anybody should ever have to walk anywhere. They replace a horse in most applications and cost less to maintain
They felt the same in SE Asia, with the program to replace the water buffalo with tractors, but have since found out such is not necessarily the case. You can't eat tractors or atvs and the nether of them can produce fertilizer. They replace a horse in most applications and cost less to maintain
I guess he's never run out of gas. What am I saying? he'd make one of his FOBs dates walk to the gas station, gas can in hand and tell her the walk would do her good.twit
Sorry, maybe I was unclear. I don't need the Zodiac or the trolling motor with the Argo, because the Argo is amphibious. You get in the Argo and drive until you reach water's edge, then you just keep on driving because it floats and is self-propelling (well, the model that I have with the tires, I'm not certain that the caterpillar-drive one would be a good in the water, but I'll look into it when time permits.....or someone can check the website I provided earlier & let me know). But it does have a transom-dealy on the back if you feel the need to run an outboard, but I never have felt that need. Although it would be cool to attach an outboard and set the height so that I can drive around my property and cut the grass using the outboard props...........that would be funny to do!!!Do you take any kind of trolling motor along with you in the Argo?
If you do, what size and does it handle well?
So are there windshields and overhead cover available?Sorry, maybe I was unclear. I don't need the Zodiac or the trolling motor with the Argo, because the Argo is amphibious. Check out the video on the website under the "what's your passion" at the left edge and see that hillbilly cowboy put it through its paces.
There's all sorts of options available since this thing is all-season. For example, I have a fold-down windshield & what they call a "half-top", and a heater and the snowplow package.....actually, I've got a lot of their available options. So are there windshields and overhead cover available?
I'm really curious, as it will fill a couple of niches. There's all sorts of options available since this thing is all-season. For example, I have a fold-down windshield & what they call a "half-top", and a heater and the snowplow package.....actually, I've got a lot of their available options.
I was just checking their website out and they don't seem to show the options available, but there are a shitload of option available (this is where these tend to get pricey!!!)
You really owe it to yourself to check one of these out in person.
Is this comment related to the topic?I guess he's never run out of gas. What am I saying? he'd make one of his FOBs dates walk to the gas station, gas can in hand and tell her the walk would do her good.
yeah for a day trip hiking works. hell even over night it would work. you go in for a week or 2 and need to take supplies with you. you hike and be fit and by the time you get as far in as the real outdoors guys go we will be packing up and heading home.Is this comment related to the topic?
I was pointing out that fit, healthy people hike through the woods, while lard asses ride ATV's. What that has to do with running out of gas I have no idea.
I have no worries about my ability to walk/hike any, having done so in some of the most remote locations on the globe, but there comes a time when you need a lift or have to get there mush faster than the Shank's Mare can take you with more stuff than you can carry.yeah for a day trip hiking works. hell even over night it would work. you go in for a week or 2 and need to take supplies with you. you hike and be fit and by the time you get as far in as the real outdoors guys go we will be packing up and heading home.
i got no issue if hiking if i am going over night but when you are going deep in the woods and taking suplies to last 2 or more weeks the shit gets heavy. carrying in supplies for like 5 or 6 guys when you are going hunting and knowing you are gonna have a lot of carry back out after it's over. having a ride is just better.I have no worries about my ability to walk/hike any, having done so in some of the most remote locations on the globe, but there comes a time when you need a lift or have to get there mush faster than the Shank's Mare can take you with more stuff than you can carry.
Speaking of walking, I wonder how our Appalachian hiker is doing. i haven't paid attention to the weather there, but hey I haven't heard horror stories of rain or freezing temperatures so it must be a great challenging time.
I totally agree, two different goals and needs. The one thing you can't do on an ATV is sneak up on anything and that can be very rewarding or maybe not.i got no issue if hiking if i am going over night but when you are going deep in the woods and taking suplies to last 2 or more weeks the shit gets heavy. carrying in supplies for like 5 or 6 guys when you are going hunting and knowing you are gonna have a lot of carry back out after it's over. having a ride is just better.
Nonsense. You can't cross through real wilderness with an ATV. Real wilderness has rivers, marshes. You need a canoe, which if you are fit, you carry between watersheds. I don't doubt that you can come up with a few scenarios where an ATV is actually necessary but 99.9% of people who ride them do so because they are lard assess who aren't fit enough to hike or portage.yeah for a day trip hiking works. hell even over night it would work. you go in for a week or 2 and need to take supplies with you. you hike and be fit and by the time you get as far in as the real outdoors guys go we will be packing up and heading home.
when i used to ride i did it for fun. difference between going for a hike and going muddin. however when i go hunting i carry in enough shit and carry out enough shit that it is a handy tool.Nonsense. I'm pretty sure if you search a little it shouldn't be hard to find a tractor towed lawn mower attachment that will work on an AGRO, cut 3-5 feet of grass at a time!Although it would be cool to attach an outboard and set the height so that I can drive around my property and cut the grass using the outboard props...........that would be funny to do!!!
That's why they were saying ARGOs can be a better choice they can go through all that and more.Nonsense. You can't cross through real wilderness with an ATV. Real wilderness has rivers, marshes. Yeah, but what fun would that be?I'm pretty sure if you search a little it shouldn't be hard to find a tractor towed lawn mower attachment that will work on an AGRO, cut 3-5 feet of grass at a time!
This post is no good without pics.Yeah, but what fun would that be?
I'd attach the outboard, put on a PFD and maybe a little "skippers" hat (that dudes usually wear on their boats), attach a fishing rod off one side, and then I'd drive around my property, hoping my neighbours see me, and they'd think I finally flipped.
