Marge-Gate revisited.

I'm sure the beacon of 'truthiness', Police Chief Bill Blair will to wade in soon to shine the light of 'truth' about the now infamous 'Fence-Gate' incident.

"I have reviewed the the mayor's account of the incident and I doth proclaim it so chock 'full of truthiness and goodiness'.

Finger-Gate, Fat-Fuck-Gate, Belligerent-Drunken-Abuse-Gate, 911-Gate, Marge-Gate, Chicken-Gate, Fence-Gate.......there is something seriously askew with this sorry excuse of a man, notwithstanding his utter and complete failings as a mayor.

You really do need to find a better outlet for your anger. Take a deep breath and consider it for your own good.

To me it comes down to - where was the reporter at the time?

Was he standing on Ford's property? No? Doesn't sound like it.

Was he standing on TRCA (Toronto Region Conservation Authority) property - then he (the Reporter) has every right to be there. It's municipal land / parkland and he's legal to be there until midnight I believe.

Anyway, Ford just continues to dig himself a deeper and deeper hole with this kind of shit frankly. First Marge the Warrior princess, then the repeated 911 calls, now this. I watched McCheese on the CBC's website giving his account of what happened and the man is an idiot. A terrible speaker. He always seems to rant and rave about his kids this and his kids that. Give it a rest already. Having kids does not give you license to be a complete jackass all the time.

It would seem that this kind of unexpected confrontation with Ford is truly his weak spot. It hasn't been 6 months since the Marge incident, now this little bit of pathetic comedy. Ford is just rip for the plucking on these sort of things.

BTW, I had not even heard about the KFC incident. So much for the diet.

I would suggest that next time someone wants to go anywhere near the 'Ford Property' that they bring a decoy. May I suggest an EXTRA LARGE bucket of steaming Kentucky Fried Chicken. That should buy you at least 5 or 6 minutes to do whatever you want while the bulldog devours the bird.

What I'm seeing on this thread is a lot of jumping to attack/defend the mayor based on politacal leanings it appears. I consider myself a moderate with no real leanings beyond a hope for common sense. That being said I would have reacted the same as the mayor did. The time of day is very suspicious. Watching the reporter explain himself today my sense is he is trying to cover his tracks. But in the interest of fairness I will withhold final judgement until any video pictures are released.
As a side note that the reporter is planning to continue to cover the mayor in light of this incident is very distasteful. Until this is resolved he should recuse himself from covering the mayor. That the Star supports this decision when any other responsible corporate entity would not says a lot to me. The Star comes off as taunting really. Makes me believe they are becoming a bit pathological about the mayor. Is their no (property) line they won't cross?
Even on Ford's version of events the reporter didn't do anything illegal. Even on Ford's version of events, Ford's behavior verges on criminal. There is no version here where Ford comes out looking good...

To 'bob' or not to 'bob', that is the question.

Was Dale 'bobbing' up and down as if on a pogo stick to glimpse over Robbie's fence? Straight shooting Robbie, the lion of integrity claims he has video surveillance footage of Dale's noggin poing, poing, poing poking up over his fence. Though as per his 911 taped rant, he says he will not release this evidence.

Oh well I guess it's just like good ole boy Robbie, once again ranting and raving like an escaped lunatic from some secure insane asylum.

Yes folks, we don't want no goddam lunatics clogging up our mayor's chair. Call him what you want, a petulant spoiled brat, a bully, a drama-queen......people want a mayor, a mayor, a mayor!!!!!.....not some damn lunatic clogging up our mayor's chair.

EVERYWHERE I GO, EVERYONE I TALK TO SAYS THEY WANT A MAYOR, A MAYOR, A MAYOR.

He is laughable. His shennagins are making international news......media fodder, priceless comedic material, an international buffoon.....OUR MAYOR.

And the kicker here is that some of you keep on keeping on defending him, making excuses for him and trying to mitigate his behaviour. The die is cast, the writing is on the wall, how much more NONSENSE will you defend.

The reporter's story sounds suspicious and the mayor's actions sound white trash.

What I am more concerned about is why the Mayor thinks he should be able to buy a 56' by 50' public property to put up a fence. I would think if most of us wanted to build a fence we would be expected to do it on our own property (and a 50' deep fence would make a prison fence seem pathetic).

How so? What could Dale possibly have to gain by trying to peer into Rob Ford's backyard and/or windows?

Even if you just sit in a public park or park a car on the street you can't just sit and watch someone home or their personal activity, especially late in the day.

It appears that the police don't see any charges being laid on either side, so it's over for now.

Why not?

I walk down the street all the time and check out the houses. Who is renovating, who has a new car, who doesn't look after their property, who is getting their cock sucked in the living room with the curtains wide open and the lights on.

There is no law against looking at anything as far as I'm aware.

At the end of the day, Ford has anger management issues. I think it's only a matter of time before he snaps.

Look at his history of violence:

1. the wife beating
2. the maple leafs game incident
3. the 911 calls by the mother in law
4. the christmas day thing
5. Marge Delahunty
6. City council chambers altercation with John Barber

7. Now this.

what i hate the most is actions like this can spark tighter laws. like the goofy terrorist with a shoe-bomb. now we take off our shoes and wiggle our toes. every free country allows photography from public spaces as long as you do not invade a basic expectation of privacy (like a bathroom). this journalist has brought photography into dis-repute. as much as i don't respect ford, i respect this guy less.

Walking down the street and looking is different then parking or sitting in front of or near someone's house, circling, hanging around, and looking.

The wife beating was never proved or nothing more than he said she said. As far as the MD incident, it simply proves he doesn't watch much CBC.
She's scary in that get up.

I never said he was a saint, but there are some who are out there to get him as shown in the KFC sting. What a joke.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. You can sit and watch someone's house all week. Unless you do something to interfere with them or for some reason your actions are threatening there is nothing whatsoever illegal.

While we await the results of the investigation I would pose this question to the reporter's defenders. If they find pictures and or other evidence that he was indeed even looking into the Ford Family property would you still condone it. Wait, before you answer ask yourself if it was say, your favorite sp on this board discussing the exact same behavior towards her? What would your reaction be then? Is this behavior ok only because its Mayor Ford?
As well. Imagine if the Sun was doing the exact same thing to say Olivia Chow? What would your reaction be then?
I will also repeat. I'm neither "right" or "left". I just can't condone this by anyone.

And there's more:

Ford threatened Dale, on public property, forcing him to drop his phone in order to escape. Ford then used the phone. This is called "theft" in Canada, or in common parlance, Ford is a mugger.

Yes. That's criminal.
