Strange season so far. Federer recovers form whilst Nadal and Djokovich lose theirs.

I think the issue for Roger may be when he has to play two weeks worth of 3 out of 5 set matches.

Don't take this the wrong way but what do you mean issue ? In a era where Roger is playing with players like Nadal , Novak and Murray he is " 30 years " old and is presently 39-2 in his last 41 matches . This is a young mans sport and at the age of 30 he still has maintained a level of tennis that can result in a 39 -2 record .

By issue, I mean that it will be harder for him to win a grand slam than a regular tour event because of the extra physical demands. As you said, it is a young man's game, and even though he is Roger, he is no longer a young man. It seems to me, IIRC, that he's already had a number of 5 set losses when he was up 2 sets to 1 in the last several years.

I agree with this statement; have noticed him losing in 5 setters.. Someone mentioned his "technical" style as being able to deal with all conditions and a reason for his consistency, versus let's say Nadal's brute force.

Unless Rafa changes his playing style, I can see Fed and Rafa retiring at the same time despite their age difference.

When that happens, Djoko and Murray will rule the tour.

As if there will be no new up and comers over the next few years the same way Nadal came out of nowhere.
You don't have to look any further then our own backyard . Milos Raonic who recently beat Andy and gave Roger a scare .

Raonic is a serious talent. Big serve. Big groundies. Good mental makeup. The best Canadian singles player I've ever seen.

I can see him reaching top 5 and winning a grand slam.

French Open starts this week . Novak is Rogers's road block to the Finals as well as Nadal who I think is a given for the Finals.

Here is some more info

Djokovic’s quarter-final opponent could be No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France. Other possible quarter-final matchups: Federer vs. 2009 U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro or No. 7 Tomas Berdych; six-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal vs. No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic; and No. 4 Andy Murray vs. No. 6 David Ferrer.
