White chocolate is a misnomer.
Only if it is not derived from cocoa butter, there are some synthetic white chocolate that are sugar, vanilla and other ingredients made to look like white chocolate but is not. Real white chocolate is the fat from the cocoa bean.

Ferrero Rocher
There is also a almost exact version put out by Shoppers Drug mart. I would not be surprised if it is made by the same manufacturer for Shoppers at Christmas that is quite good. I would not be surprised if it is made by the same manufacturer for Shoppers.

BTW- If you like them, I always see them on sale for half price just after Chistmas.

I'm with you on the dark chocolate. Good quality 70-85% cocoa.
I am more a 50% dark chocolate person.

Hershey bar with almonds.
Hershey bars smell like ass.

Lindor Lindt, the round ones in the red wrappers. I'm not a big chocolate fan, but even these have me going back for more.
Lindor. good quality chcolate but too plain.

Laura Secord is always a good choice.

Check out Soma in the Distillery District - it's the chocolate equivalent of single malt scotch. Pricy but amazing. I found their hot chocolate to be way too sweet for my palette, but everything else I've tried is exquisite.

Interesting post;

Total candy bar, Eatmore. For the those times you need to have some, Lindt 80% is more enjoyable than a cup of jave, available at almost every grocers.

Godiva, but only the brand sold in Europe as it's not pasteurized and it tastes much better than what we get in North America.

I was introduced to http://www.bernardcallebaut.com/users/folder.asp

I was utterly overwhelmed by it. It is incredible, almost orgasmic. The only down side is I cannot control my desire when a box appears near me.

Try it. They have an outlet in Oackville.

Your ultimate MILF GFE!
I'm with you on the dark chocolate. Good quality 70-85% cocoa. I also like the Lindt Chili Dark Chocolate and the Touch of Sea Salt. Both are excellent. I can't eat "candy bars" as such anymore, probably because they contain mostly vegetable oils and fats instead of actual cocoa butter.

If you can find it freespirt, try the Scharffen Berger Extra Dark – 82% Cacao. One of the best I've ever had.
I've tried both the chili and the sea salt. The orange and mint are also good. Have you seen that they now have a wasabi chocolate bar? It's..............different.

The Scharffen Berger sounds good.......I don't think I've ever seen it, is it hard to find?

Has anyone tried a chocolate tasting? Some one set one up for me. Dozens of boxes of chocolates to sample. I was surprised at how much difference their was between them when you could taste them one after the other.

Bernard's #1, And Purdy's # 2 for me.

Aero Mint.

When I was a kid my relatives brought Cadbury's Buttons from England for me. I can still remember how good it tastes.
You can get them here too.

Speaking of UK Cadbury, the Flakey Bar brings up fond childhood memories.
Otherwise dark chocolate of 60 to 80% cocoa content for the win!

Yes they're hard to find. Some specialty chocolate shops carry them. Here's the types of bars they have from their US website.

And the history, cool story...

Purdy's but they are expensive. I only eat them when the SO buys them. Won't buy it myself.
