right, portability is very important when protecting a house
they have gone to wives, daughters, sons, friends wives, daughters, sons who all live in rough area's. they are not going out to gang bangers and shit. they are stored in the night stand beside beds (they have a cool little flashlight part). so yeah it protects family as well as home.

right, because taser cannot possibly be used for an attack due to its inherent characteristics and also due to the generally good character of people who would be buying illegal weapons.
Please use some common sense, if someone uses a taser in a non defensive situation it makes them a criminal and they should be held accountable. Why are law abiding citizens being deprived of the ability to protect themselves because of a few criminals? Why are they illegal? Because your nanny master said so?

why is it again that these good people don't qualify for a firearm acquisition license?

the dads were a little excessive in their youth and can no longer procure firearms legally and can't have them in the house if owned by others. they fucked up when they were young, doesn't mean they don't have the right to protect their families now.

That is the law, there are a lot of irresponsible skumolians out there. At least the law will keep them away from tasers, or in prison.
That's the funny thing about criminals, they don't obey the laws! So all this law does is make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to protect themselves. Same thing with gun control.

on an unrelated note, it's unfortunate that if people like this truckdriver or these dads who were a little excessive in their youth get caught and send to jail, they would be sitting there idly at the taxpayers expense instead of doing some hard labour like in good old days

this truck driver and those dads are all very productive members of society and contribute quite a bit and are all raising kids while being haunted by their past. people judge by appearance, just sayin.

oh please. when a criminal is stabbing you just tell him to hold on a minute while you call the cops and amberlamps.
It's called sarcasm. I agree with the poster, you have to take responsibility for your own safety and security. The simple fact is that the police are very often not able to respond in time to stop an attack.

when me and the dads are walking around, alone or together we never have anything on us and god help anyone that tried us. we leave them at home. wives and legal age kids carry them at all times. they will never have to use them as the sight and sound will scare off any potential attacker.

I agree that a man should make enough money to not live in a crappy neighborhood (and to not have to sell contraband to those who do live in crappy neighborhood).

I am a law abiding gun owner that has to keep up with several permits just to own, store, transport and shoot my guns. The way this world is going I have to adjust my way of thinking that maybe regulation is good for society. The USA is having a debate to change the laws of gun ownership, there are many opposed to changes. I do agree that there must be some background checks before a person can own a gun. The way it is now, all you have to do is buy one at a gun show in the USA, just like buying a bottle of Tylenol. While background not stop all gun violence. It will stop some.

It is against the law in Canada to possess a Taser or pepper spray. Possession and or use of these items can result in prison time. The law will deter many, but not all from using these restricted wepons.

when you have a rough past, tattoos and never graduated high school certain jobs are not available to you that give you the financial means to go to a safe neighborhood.

Makes sense, so one doesn't need AR-15's unless of course the Ruskies launch an armour attack.

Not a good idea, you might want to have something handy if confronted by someone with a weapon. It's also a bad idea to let someone know you have it until it became necessary to use it.
