I'm starting to see Demar in a new light. If he can continue to draw fouls he is a legitamate second scoring option.

Admittedly the Raptors success seems to depend on different guys stepping up each night. On the plus side that means expectations on some of the guys is not as high and we are not as dependent on certain guys producing every night.

so long as Gray, Johnson or Jonas have a good night rebounding and Lucas, Anderson, or somebody else chips in on scoring.... the Raps have a chance (assuming the main guys Gay, Derozan, Lowry have a decent night).

Even guys like Pietrus and Fields can have good nights. Seems the roster has a lot of guys who can step up. But I guess you could probably say that about most teams as to make it in the NBA you have to be very talented. That said I haven't had this kind of confidence in a raptors depth chart in some time.

Bargs doesn't really fit into the equation as strongly. A night where he is not a liability is a good night.

what a ugly win it was lol but it was back2back for us ...we will take it!

That was terrible basketball but great television. 4 wins in a row, we aren't use to that. Lets hope it continues. Anderson and Lucas, never saw that coming.
Bargnani sucked.....again!

Referees stuck it to us again. They tossed Lowry but when Chandler chirps at the officials in the 4th, nothing.

Lowry is constantly whining and complaining = displaying loser body language...
He's now a marked man with the officials which hurts the team.

For a guy who's posted such a mediocre season... an BIG attitude change is in order.

My point was, if you watched the play where Chandler was jawing after the he called for a cheapie, he was talking right to the officials and IMHO should have been teed up. That would have been his second T and he would have joined Lowry in the dressing room.
I agree Lowry shows way too much attitude on the calls. I also agree he isn't as advertised. Adequate at best.

Yeah I was cheering for Ross to win. Nice for Toronto to get some recognition in the All Star Game.

But Barkley is right. We should have the stars in the dunk contest...... Blake Griffin, Lebron James for example.

I find the dunk contest hard to watch as the level of difficulty is raised to the point where you watch a guy attempt a dunk for 2 minutes.

Too bad Bonner lost in the finals of the 3 pt competition. As a former Raptor he got my attention.

Only bright side of all star weekend is the rest it gives the Raptors (well all teams get a break).

That was sweet, Vince was the best player of his day = Hall of Fame...
And had real Star Power and swagger...
Unlike that Tier 2 self-promoter Bosh who is grinding out his 10th autobiography at age 30.

Vince may have been the best dunker of his day and exciting to watch but doesn't have a list of accomplishments that I would think the Hall would require. One of the few things I respect about him is that he did finish his college degree (though he probably could have arranged a better day to accept it).

p.s. Shaq was brutal commentating the dunk contest. He must have made 30 comments about the contestants not being good or getting any playing time. I agree his point that the dunk contest used to be the best of the best and was more exciting for it but the way he made it was disrespectful.

Shaq was openly disrespectful to Ross. Shaq refused to say this name.

The first time he was asked, he said "that last guy" won because a, b, c...
He was then called out and asked a 2nd time who won...
Shaq said same thing... "that last guy" won becuse a, b, c.

Shaq was then DIRECTLY called out 3rrd time for refusing to say "Terrence Ross"...
And he finally pointed to his headset, said "Terrence Ross"...
Claiming he did not want to get the name wrong.

If Shaq believes that the 2013 Dunk Champ...
Is just a low-end, black commodity and "not good enough" to be in his orbit...
He should be removed from the NBA orbit by David Stern.

ON the one hand, people would love to see the superstars in the dunk contest, BUT the dunk contest really is a childish event, and the young guys are more likely to partake in it cause, you get to a certain age and it just feels stupid. The skills contest is ok, but once i got older I looked forward mostly to 3 point contest!!

Considering it's a bunch of grown men getting paid millions to play a game, I don't see the dunk competition so much different.

I don't like all star weekend! Never watch any of it as I just don't see the point of it.

All-star Saturday is sort of fun. Having done some coaching, the actual all-star game makes me sick.

For those who think anything has changed in RaptorLand...
(Other than Colangelo's pending 3 year multi-gazillion $$$ extension + benefits + perks)...
The Raps are a 3 point underdog to 15-36 Washington tonight = reality check.

Are you aware the Wizards have won 4 of the last 5 games . Four wins have come against the Knicks , Bucks , Clippers and Nets . They did start the season without their franchise player and record reflects that .
