With a pay cut like that, I hope he's save up his food stamps.suspended without pay for six months- he makes ten million per year so that's a 5 million dollar hole in his pocket.
And he was "loose with the facts" on more than just the Iraq helicopter story. Once they get someone to replace him, they won't want him back. He's toast!I dont see how he can recover from all this.
I mean, who will ever take him seriously again?
What hypocrisy! Everybody and their dogs lied about the war in Iraq.I dont see how he can recover from all this.
I mean, who will ever take him seriously again?
Are you Syria? What is this Shiite? If I had a Qatar for every lame Middle East pun that will be made in this thread, I'd be a rich man.I was shot at in Iraq, but Iran really fast to get away from the bullets.

There are now questions about two Karina incidents he reported about (person jumping to his death and body floating in water). It's not just the Iraq war he lied about...
1) John Stewart would have absolutely zero credibility as a news anchor. If NBC wanted to make sure that the NBC Nightly News fell to dead last in the ratings that would be the way to do it.The early speculation (which I'm not buying) is that John Stewart will replace Williams on the news and Williams will replace Stewart on The Daily Show .. Stewart announced he was leaving the show about an hour before NBC put out the word on Williams suspension, thus starting the social media speculation..... Coincidence I think but stranger things have happened... especially of the suit types at NBC start listening to the buzz about a Stewart - Williams swap.. television is all about ratings, even the news...
My question is, will he be banned from appearing in those Jimmy Fallon video rap pieces ? Whoever puts those together is genius
I don't think Jon Stewart would be interested but I think you are wrong about his credibility.1) John Stewart would have absolutely zero credibility as a news anchor. If NBC wanted to make sure that the NBC Nightly News fell to dead last in the ratings that would be the way to do it.
2) The problem with wearing striped neckties is that Universities, Schools, Regiments (military organizations in general) Hereditary and Patriotic Societies, and Social Clubs all have distinctive ties. I recognize a number of the ties in the above compilation and unless his c.v. is wildly inaccurate Brian Williams is not a graduate of, or did he serve in them.
As a Canadian you should know better. Try walking around with a Regular Force Regimental tie or any Golden Horseshoe Primary Reserve Regiment Regimental tie and see the reaction you get when you are asked a question about your service and say oh I just liked the pattern.I don't think Jon Stewart would be interested but I think you are wrong about his credibility.
On the tie issue- I can't imagine that any member of the general public knows or cares. Perhaps the ties are similar to the club ties you are concerned about or perhaps he was given them as a gift. But really- who gives a fuck about his ties
The odds are that NBC would like for him to resign and he may do so if they give him a good enough golden parachute. As to being done with broadcasting I doubt it.So how many of you think Brian Williams can recover from all this??
And how many of you think his career in broadcasting is finished??
I agree. Think his news career may be over. Hopefully they will treat Hillary's smorgasbord of lies the same way.I dont see how he can recover from all this.
I mean, who will ever take him seriously again?
Brian Williams could work for Fox News. Fake stories, fake news videos, unsubstantiated fear mongering ... but Fox News is still on the air.I dont see how he can recover from all this.
I mean, who will ever take him seriously again?
