Jimmy got 37 points in D League debut .. Question I was wondering ... Can a top ranked NCAA school beat a D LEAGUE team

Did not realize Jimmer Fredette had gone to the D league. Be interesting to see if that kick starts him back to the NBA. To date he has been a huge disappointment.

Ya D-League do have a draft every year ( new all unsigned players ) and he went 1st overall .. He should go to Europe and make a lot of $$$$ but I guess he wants to keep his NBA dream ... Canadian Brady Heslip ( same type of player ) left the D-League where he was dominate and fetched a nice contract in Europe .. Unless your property of a NBA team with a contract and play in the DLeague you will get paid but guys trying to get a NBA gig may get as low as 13,000 a year

Maybe a lesser D league team but it's still boys against men....d league more often than not....

Holly crap shut off game cause I thought it was one of those nights ... But hey won
I guess we all were feeling the road weariness too! Thank you Atl for taking the second half off! Second unit played better and that keeps you in games! Still a long haul ahead so there's still hope. First big home stand with 6 games in a row here. 4-2 might be as good as it will get.....

As great as that comeback was we cannot let down against a short handed Nuggets club tonight. Losing this game would be dreadful. Gotta shake the hangover lads.

Big game against the Warriors Saturday. Would absolutely love to see that streak end at the hands of the Raptors. I watch a ton of Warriors games (Chef Curry is such a treat to watch) and their announcers have mentioned Raptors a couple of times as a team in the East that is sneaky good. I'd like us to prove their point :)

You can't continually spot opponents double digit leads and then expect to be successful!
If they can find a taker for the 11 million dollar man give him to them!

T.Ross is playing like Kobe but Kobe is retiring cause he doesn't have it anymore and T.Ross is just beginning ...

The problem with the Raptors is they don't destroy bad opponents but beat them and then play teams like Thunder and beat then and almost beat the Warriors /

I really didn't expect to beat Golden State. Curry is playing out of this world. I only thought we had a chance when he got pulled after banging his noggin into Carrol's. No concussion, no win for us. I do give thanks that we put a competitive team out on the floor every night!!!!

:thumb:......When everyone plays up tempo and with purpose and thought, this team looks good. The potential is there when you see them play like yesterday. Again, bad start and abysmal offence in first lets them have to play catchup again. KLo is really heating up and I hope the training keeps that body healthy. I don't think anyone saw this in Lucas but he can ball a bit. Rest of the scrubs played better yesterday which kept us in the game. When all 12 on this team focus and play, they can be a tough beat. Let's hope they don't play to the level of the opposition on Monday!

Disappointing loss because DeRozan and Lowry missed crucial free throws down the stretch which cost us the game. Its also another game where we spotted the opposition a double digit lead.

Taking things in perspective, we are 12-9. That is just below .600 ball and we've played about 30% of our road games, and we've faced Golden State twice, Cleveland, Miami, Atlanta, the Clips , OKC and the Mavs. We are also going to play San Antonio, Miami, and Dallas latter this week. Our 2nd half of the schedule will be alot easier with alot of home games. I lke the position that we are in.

Another positive sign is the emergence of Bebe Nogueira. His 7'5" wingspan has been giving opponents fits when they try to get into the lane. The fact that he doesn't jump to block shots , means he won't be out of rebounding position. He's alot better than Biyombo. Kudos to Masai for getting him and Lou Williams for John Salmons. If Bruno can also develop and DeAndre Daniels can come back from that Jones fracture, the rest of the NBA better look out. We will have a potential front line of guys with the most freakish wingspans in the NBA.

Bismack Biyombo 7'7"
DeAndre Daniels 7'2"
James Johnson 7'1"
Bruno Caboclo 7'6"
Norman Powell 6'11"
Bebe Nogueira 7'5"

That is a nightmare for the opposing offenses to score on.

Lowry definitely stepped up vs Curry. Derozan not so much vs Thompson. We are at our best when both Lowry and DeRo step up

How many injuries do the Raptors need to occur before Anthony Bennett gets a chance to play extended minutes .. Carroll out ( friggin again ) .. Jonas out ... Nogueira out but Anthony Bennett DNP ...

Have you seen what he looks like when he does play? NOT GOOD!!!! He should get a stint in the D league. He needs to play, and to get his confidence back.

Raps finally get a win on this home stand, granted, it was against the Lakers. On the upside Raps were missing 2 of their big men and arguably their best defensive player. Nice win!
AND.....the 11 million dollar finally looked the part, now, will he continue to play well or was that a blip and he goes back to being nothing for the next while????

He has played a total of 7 minutes ( not in just one game ) in this whole season and so I can honestly say I don't recall how he looks out there .. He must have an agreement with the Raptors that
says I will sign but no D-League action for me cause how else can you explain him not being sent down ..
