This is a series i dont think toronto would win. But im still cheering for them. The heat has too much experiance and guys who can make big shots at the right time. This experiance will just build our resume for whats to come in the next 2 years

I will be extremely happy if the Raptors could stretch the series to 7 gms and..lose! Chalk it up to playoff experience because the Raptors looked uninterested in the 4th Q for 2 series in a roll now. They look like a fragile team when the 4Q arrived for some reasons. Defence will lead to offence so the raps should pay more attention on how to guard the Heat backcourt and grab a few more reb for gm2 tomorrow. DW of the Heat can take over any games by himself during this series if he wants to. He did that to Charlotte in do-or-die game in gm6. One encouraging sign in game 1 was that my favorite whipping boy,Ross, had a better start compared to his last series.

If there is nothing wrong, then there is no light at the end of the tunnel...! This is such an ill timed slump otherwise, especially if the contagion spreads (DD hopefully is shaking it off..). Again, if Raps play they should be able to corral these Heaters. I think it's good that the schedule has tightened up right now cuz there's less time to really feel badly right now.

It'd be nice to see a decent game from 1-10 for a game. Game 3 in Indiana was the last time we got that kind of effort. It's a must win game now so let's hope for the best...

Poor defense, poor effort, a total disappointing game last night.

If this is the case, I would rather see DD shoot the ball himself than pass around to anyone. JV should know how to avoid the defensive block when he took the shot.

Let's go, Raptors! Go harder defense on DW. Be more aware of the defensive block when takes the shot. Both big boys BB and JV have to fight hard for the rebounding ball from both defense and offense situations.

Fingers are still crossed!

Why would you be happy if they lose in the 7th game at home? Do you have a bet on Miami in 7?

Watching the Cavs game tonight ... Wow What a difference .. It was like the Rap game was a a D League game compared to how the Cavs played ..

Scola it seems feeling the effect of playing in the summer for national team .. Like Pacers .. He starts season starting and by the it is DNP

BTW Ross had a pretty good game!
about time, pretty good at best and it didn't get the Raps the win. In my books he is still an overpaid under achiever! Hope he proves me wrong!

Lowery: Seeing he stayed at the ACC until 0ne A,M. shooting I am now of the belief it isn't the elbow that is the problem, it is in his head. If he starts to hit inside and out it will be a series changer.

Thanks to the Raps Frank Vogel fired from the Pacers today. Casey will be next if he does not win 2nd round series. Just kidding! He will be on short leash for next season, though. Should Casey start Scola again for the current series? He has playoffs experience. Unless,Scola didn't have favourable numbers against the Heat during regular season.

The heat is a more experienced and "long" team, but it looks to me they're a slower team and the Raps can have success using their quickness more. I think that's why Ross was able to have success early because they couldn't catch up to him.

There's not much of a difference between #2 seed and #3. Anything can happen and goes the Raptors way we hope. But, I fear for DW experience to destroy the Raps dream of going to the conf finals. Tonight is the night the Raps has to win to tie the series 1-1. Because Raps always have a hard time winning in Miami for years! 0-2 going to Miami over the weekend,I will start following the Jays. LOL!
Good news for the Raps DW may not be 100% tonight. He hurts his knee last game. Go after his knees tonight, please!

Omg it is painful watching our two all stars in these playoffs .. Forget about calling what is happening to Lowry a slump .

Our iso's suck. Carroll and JV saving the game today that's for sure
the box score adds to your post .. Look at it and you would wonder how did the Raps win .. Heat shot better and rebounded better ..

I think the longer the series goes the better Rap chances .. heat just finished 7 game series and those old legs with 2 over times might catch up to them ..

OK Raps win in OT. Looks like I see things a little different than some of the other contributors to this thread. While I wasn't overwhelmed by the play of Lowery and DeRozan , I wasn't unhappy either. Playoffs games are lot tighter played with the emphasis on defense and if they continue to play at the same level or higher Raps should be at worst, competitive. JV has shown he is worth the salary extension and Demarre Carroll was as advertised or better. Joseph rebounded from a crappy game and looked much like he did in the Pacers series. Ross IMO is still Ross. He has had a couple of games where he picked up some points, but he is at best average out there, however, for him, that is a step up! Patterson not scoring but he is a presence when on the floor. Biyombo MIA for the second consecutive game. He has to step it up and give JV a breather. Wade taking Powell to school. Future HOF vs the rookie and it shows.
Raps need to win at least 1 in Miami and if Lowery and DeRozan continue to improve. JV and Carroll continue to play as they have or better, and the bench shows up, it should happen.

Good post .. You could say they have won one of 2 and both in overtime and doing not playing their best ball .

Curious to see how a Heat TERB forum lol see the game . Heck they maybe pissec or critical ..

Did the Raptors pull a Diego Maradona with Demare Carroll?

In the fall of 1985 Maradona sustained a hamstring injury, he was expected to return to action in January. That didn't happen and for months a shroud of secrecy surrounding his health status. He finally returned to action in April well rested and ready for action. It paid off as Argentina won the World Cup at Mexico86, then he lead Napoli to the 1987 Serie A Title. There was a similar shroud of secrecy concerning Carroll's status, which leads me to believe that the Raptors were resting him for the playoffs. And it's paying off.
