The hopes and dreams are about policy. That fight doesn't end.I like Bernie but I have to admit that seeing Butler1000’s hopes and dreams smashed into a billion tiny pieces brings joy to my heart.
Hey B1000: Guess it’s time to change your sig line.

I usually disagree with your posts but this time I totally agree.Bernie suspends campaign.
Biden Vs Trump
god help us all!
Sure you have, like Trump knew it was a pandemic all along. The hopes and dreams are about policy. That fight doesn't end.
Sorry to disappoint you. I've been prepared for this from the beginning.
I hadn't thought of that. That was funny!I can only feel sorry for the sign language people when Joe starts talking during the debates.![]()
I was. I gave him a 30% chance at the beginning. Hopes were raised after Nevada. But the DNC is choosing to make the same mistakes again.Sure you have, like Trump knew it was a pandemic all along.
I still think Warren would have been the best choice, Bernie second.
But as long as Biden beats Trump it'll be ok.
Except for corporations who need daddy govt to give them bailouts and subsidies and contracts to survive right?I was really looking forward to an election between 2 crazy old men, extreme left vs extreme right, that would have been highly entertaining for us outside of the US. Having said that someone like Sanders would never do well in the US, a nation built historically and culturally on the idea of rugged individualism.
A movement to what, to destroy American individualism and the Constitution? I thank the Lord the majority of Americans still see the benefits of individual rights and the freedom from government control.I was. I gave him a 30% chance at the beginning. Hopes were raised after Nevada. But the DNC is choosing to make the same mistakes again.
Reports are coming out now that there is a lack of enthusiasm for fundraising and volunteers for Biden. And his policies will not draw progressive voters.
That's the mistake. The DNC thinks it's about the candidate with progressives. It isn't. We trusted Sanders because he was consistent in his values. Biden isn't. Any promises he makes can't be trusted. So progressive people won't vote for him.
It's that simple. Sanders is out. But the movement lives on.
Does that mean you're against the $2 trillion bailout?A movement to what, to destroy American individualism and the Constitution? I thank the Lord the majority of Americans still see the benefits of individual rights and the freedom from government control.
So individual they needed two bailouts in ten years? Spent money on stock buybacks as opposed to putting money away for a rainy day?A movement to what, to destroy American individualism and the Constitution? I thank the Lord the majority of Americans still see the benefits of individual rights and the freedom from government control.
How is that socialism? Government has ordered companies to shut or curtail operations, they have to compensate for that.Does that mean you're against the $2 trillion bailout?
That's socialism.
No one said they system was perfect, far from it. But I would argue that the reason for both bailouts was had to do with government interference in the economy. So individual they needed two bailouts in ten years? Spent money on stock buybacks as opposed to putting money away for a rainy day?
Rely on govt subsidies and military contracts for their core business while making planes that can't fly?
That individualism?
The movement is about Medicare for all, and a more level playing field with rules that apply for all.
Look at the Senators who bought and sold stock based on the pandemic insider information. The college admission scandal. These are microcosms of the greater corruption that is so infused in American politics and society that to say individualism is still the cornerstone is laughable.
Government controlled the market, telling them to shut down. - government control of the market is socialismHow is that socialism? Government has ordered companies to shut or curtail operations, they have to compensate for that.
Well Trump's dementia was very obvious in the manner in which he stated that he would suspend further funding to the Who and moments later when asked by the reporter about the seriousness of this issue, he then stated that they were looking into doing so, and he never said that they would stop funding the WHO. Biden does not come up with such gaffes when he talks. But as he is scrutinized by the right wing media, they try desperately to push this so called senility of his.The establishment Democrats conspiracy actually works and they have their bought and paid for candidate.
This is still very much Hillary's party.
The question is as the second wave of this pandemic hits should there really be an election at all.
But if it's postponed for any length of time will Joe's dementia become more of a topic of concern or will even be able to tie his own shoes at that point.
No, government's OWNERSHIP of the means of production is socialism. Government regulating rules of the market is just how capitalism operates in a democratic society in the time of crisis.Government controlled the market, telling them to shut down. - government control of the market is socialism
Government is giving money to the market - that's socialism
If you were free market you'd be against both of those
